Demi tilted her head towards Joe and Emily who looked just as shocked as she was. But she couldn't help but let a tear slip her eyes. She was having three little babies and it felt unbelievably unreal that she was. The midwife got up and left the room once the screen was moved so the three of them could see it fixed on the screen.

"You think you can manage three babies?" Demi grinned slightly.

"More like do you think you can carry three babies?" Joe questioned Demi giggling slightly squeezing his hand gently. She could see how shocked the both of them were, she wasn't exactly predicting it, she thought maybe twins but not triplets.

"I don't have much of a choice." Demi answered.

"I thought putting five up there was too many!" Emily exclaimed wiping her tears, Joe smiled kissing her head gently.

The midwife came back about five minutes later with some pictures, she had circled where each baby was on one of the pictures but left the others blank. She also checked over that everything was okay with them and there didn't seem to be any problems, they made an appointment for twelve weeks but had been advised to come back more regularly after that with there being three babies. It still seemed unreal to the three of them.

"Are you sure you'll fit into a dress for the wedding?" Joe questioned Demi as they entered Demi's parents house after eating out where Demi was still living. She had been looking at other places but at the moment making sure her and the babies were healthy were her main priority.

"I think so, I don't think I'll be that big for next month," Demi replied as they shed off their jackets all making their way into the living room. Joe got them all some drinks before they settled down on the couch the telly on but only in the background. "What genders are you thinking you want?" Demi questioned looking between them.

"I don't think we really mind as long as their healthy, one of each would be nice but I don't have a preference on what the third is." Emily answered.

"Either way I think that your underestimating how hard this pregnancy is going to be." Joe stated leaning back on the couch looking over at his best friend.

"And as if you know everything about pregnancies, you've been through it yourself?" Demi teased laughing along with Emily. Joe wasn't amused.

"You just seem so cool about this when you're going to be carrying three seven pound babies by the end of the pregnancy." Demi shrugged her shoulders.

"I know my body probably won't be the same again afterwards and that I won't be able to see my toes until the end but it will be worth it in the end." Demi urged.

"Will it though when we take all three home with us?" He questioned getting a smack on the chest by Emily, he just felt bad for Demi knowing that at the end of the pregnancy she had gone through all the pain of carrying the babies to get nothing other than watch another couple raise her babies up. He knew she'd be involved because he would make sure of it.

"I'll be fine Joseph, trust me. I can't change anything now just because there's triplets, would you like it if I suddenly decided to keep one of the babies which I wouldn't do because I don't want them separated." Joe sighed shrugging his shoulders.

"I should get ready for work, I'll see you both soon."Joe kissed both their heads before he left walking back home so Emily would have the car.

"What's wrong with him?" Emily mumbled.

"I think he's just feeling a little bad for me, he'll be fine." Demi answered taking a sip from her drink. She knew he was concerned and she was glad he was, it showed he really did care but there was nothing they could change now. They would be welcoming three babies into the world.
