Demi woke up the next morning like normal getting herself washed and changed before heading into the room her kids shared with one another. She smiled when she saw Elliot sat up in his bed but ran over when he saw his mother in the doorway. She checked Evie and Elsie before heading out of the room making sure the door was closed behind her.
"How's my handsome man today?" Demi cooed kissing Elliot's forehead.
"The storm scary mommy." Elliot mumbled.
"Why didn't you come wake me? You could have slept in mommy's bed." Demi stated as she sat him at the dining table.
"Mommy why is daddy not sleeping in his room?" Demi sighed slightly hoping her son wouldn't notice. She poured him a bowl of cereal adding milk and a small spoon before setting it down in front of him. She didn't want the fact that she wasn't with Joe no longer to effect them raising their children. It was going to be hard when the new baby came having three four year olds as well as a newborn but they had raised three newborn's together so they'd be able to work at it and get it right. They would be starting kindergarten soon when their little brother or sister was about half a year old. She was excited about a new baby. She wanted to experience labour, this pregnancy was natural as well unlike the pregnancy with the triplets.
"Me and daddy need some space for a while but don't worry, that isn't going to change anything. Daddy will still be here to play with you all when he's not working." Demi answered kissing his hair before she started to fix herself some breakfast.
"Me don't like mommy and daddy fighting." Demi smiled as she sat down next to him. She knew that they would all be excited about having another baby in the household. Even if this wasn't Joe's baby she would still raise her baby.
Joe wondered in not long later having Evie in her arms looking half asleep unlike her sister who ran over to Demi hugging her legs.
"Morning baby girl." Demi greeted lifting her up kissing her cheek gently. Elsie wrapped her arms around her mother's neck kissing her cheek back.
"Evie has a temperature," Joe stated keeping his daughter against his hip as he got the thermometer out of the drawer bringing it up to Evie's mouth but she shook her head in protest burying her head in Joe's neck. "Come on baby girl we need to see if your ill."
"Daddy me feel icky." She mumbled.
"Take her back to bed and make sure she has a bucket next to her, I don't think you need to take her temperature to see that she's ill." Demi stated setting Elsie back down.
"Come on then." Joe put the thermometer back away before leaving the room with Evie. They didn't like it when they were ill but it happened. It was a part of growing up. They just needed to try and keep Elsie and Elliot away from catching it.
"Why is Evie going back to bed?" Elliot questioned looking up at his mother.
"She's feeling sicky but she'll be fine in a couple of days." Demi assured them both setting a bowl in front of Elsie so she could have some breakfast.
"Me don't like being ill." Elsie mumbled.
"Nobody does but it happens to us all. Mommy and Daddy always get ill." Demi stated sitting back down in her spot opposite them.
"Josh told us that he gets the day from kindergarten when he's ill, does daddy not go into work if he's ill?" Demi giggled slightly.
"Yes Elliot even when you're working you get a day off when your ill." Demi answered nudging him under the table. Elliot giggled this time Demi keeping the smile on her face. She was having another baby and would have to wait another five or six years until she could open her day care.
