Joe left Demi alone for a couple of days so she could calm down and think about what she really wanted, he missed the kids so much that he couldn't wait the third day that he had told himself he would leave her for. He needed to see his children, they were the only thing that was getting him through knowing that they wouldn't be happy if their mom and dad were fighting. He had thought over the two days about what he had done that could have made Demi hate him so much that she broke up with him and kicked him out the house but he had nothing. The only thing he came up with was no being home as much as he used to. He was thinking about opening his own restaurant and being head chef there which would tear him away from Demi and the kids even more, that was holding him back. If Demi didn't want him to do it then he wouldn't. Joe pulled up outside the house sighing as he climbed out of the car heading up towards the path. He knocked on the door gently not wanting to wake the kids up if they were still in bed, he hadn't phoned or anything to say he was coming which is why Demi nearly shut the door on him, he prevented that by putting his foot in the way. It hurt a bit but he wanted to see his kids.
"Demi I have a right to see my own children," Joe spoke Demi able to hear the sternness in his voice. Demi sighed this time nodding her head letting him in. "Can we talk?"
"I-I'm not ready Joe." Demi stammered, it was hard for him to not hold her in his arms reassuring her that everything was going to be okay.
"You might not be Demi but I deserve a explanation of why you broke up with me and kicked me out the house. I've given you two days." Joe urged.
"Just go be with them Joe." Demi mumbled heading up stair feeling him watch her as she did. Joe took in a deep breath before entering the living room a smile coming along his face as he was attacked by three children.
"Daddy!" They all squealed Joe laughing as they managed to push him to the floor, they giggled as he brought them down with him.
"Hey kids," Joe greeted getting a sloppy kiss from them all, he sat up on his butt bringing them all onto his lap kissing their heads gently. "Not Frozen again!"
"Us love it!" Elsie squealed climbing off him sitting back on the couch.
"Where did you go?" Elliot questioned looking up at his father. Joe smiled as he admired how much he looked like his mother. His nose, his mouth and his freckles but he inherited his father's eyes, they all had between them.
"I was just spending some time with Granny." He answered as they all got up. He begun watching Frozen with them all wanting to spend time with his children.
Joe spend some time with the kids before heading upstairs seeing Demi laid down on the bed they share. Or used to. He breathed in before sitting on the edge of the bed.
"I've been thinking of reasons why you might be pushing me away and I came up with the fact you want another baby? It would explain why you want sex all the time." Joe stated sighing when she rolled her eyes at him.
"I don't want a baby Joe, I want you!" She exclaimed.
"What do you mean?"
"You're always working and when you're not it's the kids that get your attention, I'm glad you're spending time with them but I miss you." Demi answered.
"Then that's easily resolved, I'll just spend less hours at work," Joe answered. "There was no reason to make a fuss of it."
"It's not just that Joe," Demi grumbled sitting up on the bed beginning to play with the bed sheets covering her legs. "I-I was lonely one night, my mom took the kids and I went to a bar, a guy offered to buy me a drink and I took it. He was into me and I lead him on telling him I had no boyfriend. I-I cheated on you Joe but I feel so fucking guilty that I can't even look you in the eye. Please don't leave Joe, I want my best friend back!" Demi cried.
