Fifteen

I know this is the same as what was the last one but I got confused so if your reading the same episode go back and read Fourteen. Sorry for any confusion.

It took about a month for Joe and Emily to completely get over the miscarriage but everything was back to normal now. Today was a Saturday, the day Joe usually spent with Emily then spent Sunday with Demi either at her house or his house having a lazy day but this weekend was different. Joe thanked Dianna as she held the door open for him entering and making his way slowly up the stairs being careful where he was going with the large item in his arms. He entered Demi's room seeing she was still asleep like her mother had told him.

"Demi!" He screamed making her up awake a groan escaping her lips. "Happy best friend's day!" Demi sat up in her bed her eyes widening when she saw what she did in his arms not able to see his face, just the lower part of his legs. (It's a giant teddy bear) 

Joe set the teddy down on the floor smiling as he saw the shock on her face. This wasn't something that they usually did but he was aware she probably felt left out with him dating Emily over the past year and with them nearly having a baby that would have taken a lot of his time away from her. He always wanted to make time for his best friend.

"Joe what is this?" Demi questioned as she got out of bed making her way over to him kissing his cheek gently.

"It's best friend's day and your my best friend so today it's all about you and me, all day. And this is your first present, I thought it would look good in the corner of your room" Joe grinned smiling as Demi hugged him hugging her back.

"I haven't got you anything though." Demi stated unwrapping her arms coming back down on her feet as he was taller than she was.

"I don't care about that Dems, this is my present to you so you don't need to worry about getting me anything," Joe insisted kissing her forehead. "You've helped me out a lot over the year with Emily, I have no idea how girl's work and you helped with that." Joe picked the teddy up as Demi sighed watching him carry her first present over to the corner of the room.

Demi had a shower before they both went out for breakfast. They spent the day together just the two of them going swimming, to the beach and so on which Demi enjoyed. It was nice to spend time with her best friend without Emily popping up anywhere, she was a good girl but she never saw herself getting along with her. They were both now sat out in Joe's back yard roasting marshmallows over the barbeque Joe had lit, they were going to do it in the forest but it got a bit old and they hadn't brought their jackets.

"I have one more present for you." Joe stated.

"Joe you've given me enough, give it to Emily or something." Demi urged but Joe shook his head gently as he reached into his pocket.

"I treat Emily enough, this is your day and besides I don't think Emily would wear these." Joe brought out the box a small smile on his face as he handed her the box . Demi sighed slightly opening the blue velvet box gasping in shock when she saw what she did.

"Joe I've wanted these since the beginning of the year!" Demi exclaimed her eyes staying on the bracelets in the box. She should have guessed, Joe was with her most of the times that they went to the mall and she gazed at them in the store window. "These are expensive Joe, I can't let you give me these just for a unofficial holiday."

"I made a deal with your parents, they paid half for your birthday so don't worry about it." Joe answered taking the box from her taking them out taking Demi's wrist. Demi smiled as he put them both on her passing her the box back.

"I've really enjoyed today Joe, it's been fun." Demi admitted only smiling more as he wrapped his arm around her Demi leaning her head on his shoulder.

"I've had fun too, sorry if you ever feel left out with Emily and my friends. You'll always be one of the most important people in my life." Joe kissed her hair gently before they both concentrated on roasting the marshmallows.
