Demi sat back down on the bed laying her hand down on Joe's back. She wouldn't understand how he was feeling. She had never loved someone like Joe loved Emily and then lost them on their wedding day but she wanted to be there for him as much as she could and if that involved her being around in his grumpy mood them she would.
"Maybe you should go to work tonight, get your mind of everything, even if it is just for a couple of hours." Demi suggested cracking a small smile when his head came out of the cocoon he had buried himself in. She leaned down kissing his check gently.
"That's cheating," He accused Demi giggling slightly. "Fine I'll go to work but will you be here when I get back?" Demi nodded her head.
"Well as long as you want me to." Demi answered.
"Thank you Demi, I appreciate the support. What are we going to do with the babies now?" Demi sighed shrugging her shoulders.
"They're still your babies, you think you can do it alone?" She couldn't help but giggle when he quickly shook his head bringing out his arms from under the duvet.
"You could help? Be their mom anyway?" Joe suggested.
"We'll think about our options Joe, don't worry about it," Demi kissed his cheek gently. "Eat your soup up then get ready for work, I'll go clean down." Joe watched as Demi left the room her bowl in her hands planning to finish her own soup downstairs. He sighed freeing himself from the duvet, he picked the photo frame up in his hands as he stared at Emily.
"I'm gonna make you so proud." He mumbled before getting up making his way over to his draws so he could get ready for work. He prayed that they wouldn't give him much sympathy, that the service would just go on like normal. He wanted to be in familiar places while he mourned over the loss of Emily and her father.
Joe got home from work around that night at ten. He was glad Demi was still here watching one of their favourite films they often watched together. He slumped down on the couch next to her smiling as she lifted up her legs onto his Joe laying his hands down on them. He did feel a little better for going to work, they had produced some good dishes.
"Work good?" Demi questioned Joe nodding his head gently. "I ran a bath for you so you could relax." Joe cracked a small smile.
"Thanks, come talk in the bathroom? I'll put my swimming trunks on."
"If that's what you want." Joe nodded his head the two of them getting up making their way up the stairs. He was still confused about his feelings for Demi.
Joe let a sigh escape his lips as he slid into the bath Demi smiling as she entered the bathroom behind him a glass of wine in her hands for him. She wasn't drinking with her being pregnant but she enjoyed a glass of wine every so often. She set it on the edge of the bath before shutting the toilet seat lid sitting down.
"Have you thought about any baby names yet?" Demi questioned.
"I won't lie I have, I have three favourite girls names but I'm struggling with boys. I've never really been any good at boys names." Joe admitted.
"Maybe you won't need to think about it, maybe I have three Jonas girls in here."
"Mom would be happy." Joe rolled his eyes Demi giggling. She could tell going to work had helped him out a little bit. She didn't mind if he was depressed but not all the time, he still needed to be happy and show everyone his smile and share his laugh with everyone. There would be times where he did feel down but could hopefully soon get over it.
