"I just want to see her."

"I'm sorry, but we can't let you do that."

"Please."

I plead and stare at the two police officers sitting in front of me. It's been weeks since I last saw her, since I've even heard her voice. I have no idea where she is, or where she ended up after her social worker literally dragged her away – me kicking and screaming.

Ignoring my pleas completely, the officers look at each other before nodding and turning their attention to me.

"Who made the first move?" One asks.

"What?"

"When you two first got together, who made the first move?"

"I don't know, it was a while ago." I mumble.

They scribble things down onto notepads that they hold in their laps, making me realise that I have to be careful with my words.

"So you two have been together for a while then?"

"No, it was only recent." I gulp.

"But you've had sexual intercourse with her, three times, was it?"

"That's a personal question." I squirm in my seat.

"Since your relationship is only recent, how often did you two have sexual intercourse for four condoms to be missing from the box, according to your mother?"

"Why are you asking me so many personal questions?" I narrow my eyes.

"To get a good idea with what exactly happened between you two."

"For what?"

"The court hearing." One officer shakes her head like it's obvious. "Your parents haven't told you?"

"Haven't told me what?"

"About Jordan's court hearing next week. Whether she goes back to juvenile detention or not depends on what both you and her say at the hearing."

Feeling the anger bubble up inside me, I push myself out of my chair and storm back inside, listening to the police officers call after me.

"Mum!" I yell as I walk into the house. "Mum!"

I've hardly talked to my parents since they sent Jordan away. It's like they don't even care about her. Who knows where she got sent to or what the people are like. All my parents care about is keeping me locked in my room and the boys out of the house.

"What is it, Calum?" Mum walks down the stairs and into sight.

"How could you?" I snap. "How could you not tell me about Jordan's court hearing next week?"

Mum sighs as the two police officers appear behind me. "We'll arrange another meeting some time soon, officers."

They politely bid their goodbyes and mum turns to me. "Calum–"

"What do you think you were trying to accomplish?" I snap. "Did you think that I was going to spill the beans on everything so that Jordan will get thrown into JUVI?"

"Yes, Calum, I was hoping that you would tell the truth."

"So you want Jordan to go to JUVI? Do you really hate her that much?" I yell, flailing my arms around.

"Don't talk to me like that, Calum, or–"

"Answer me for once!" I scream. "I want some answers! I want to know where my girlfriend is! I want to know if she's okay. I want to know why you hate both of us so much!"
