"Oh my God, they're here!" Victoria yelped.
She'd made me come over earlier today so that we could get ready together, which really just ended up with me telling her a hundred times that she looked amazing and that Ashton wouldn't care if she wore a shirt, or shorts or jeans.
I ended up convincing her to wear her faded blue, denim shorts with a black singlet top, and a red a dark blue checkered flannel shirt tied around her waist, paired with her black Vans and her brown hair tied up in a messy bun.
"I'm not ready yet, can you please let them in. Tell Ash I'll be down in a minute." She said as she rushed to the other side of the room to grab what looked like mascara.
"Fine." I grumbled.
"Oh come on, cheer up. You're going on a date." She laughed.
"With Calum." I added.
"Exactly! I'm your best friend Jordan, you can't lie to me. You like Calum, just face it."
I groaned and pushed myself up from her bed. "I don't like Calum."
"Fine... then you love him."
I chocked on my own spit. "I most certainly do not love Calum."
"Whatever you say." She shooed me away with her hands, looking at me in amusement. "Just go and let them in."
I huffed, making sure that she knew I was annoyed with this whole situation, before slowly making my way down the stairs. When I got to the bottom, there was a solid knock at the door and for some reason, butterflies burst into my stomach. I frowned and pushed the nerves to the back of my mind. I shouldn't be nervous about this, in fact, I'm not nervous at all.
I looked through the peep hole of the door, I have no idea why, but I did. Ashton was obviously too far to the side for me to see, but Calum was right in my line of vision. I saw him run his hand through his hair nervously and found that it wasn't just flopped on top of his head like usual, but we had styled it slightly to the side more. As much as I hate to admit it, it looked good.
I grabbed the door knob and opened the door, and Ashton smiled.
"Hey Jordan." He greeted.
"Hey, come in." I opened the door wider. "Victoria's still getting ready, she'll be down in a minute. Make yourselves at home, the lounge room is just through there." I pointed to my left.
"Thanks." Ashton walked to where I pointed.
Calum walked in, hands in his pockets and smiled at me. "Hey you."
He took his left hand out of his pocket, placing it on my waist, and then leaned in and kissed my right cheek.
"Hi." I murmured when he pulled away, slightly confused.
I watched as his eyes grazed over my body, and I let mine do the same. He was wearing black skinny jeans with holes at the knees, a black Nirvana t-shirt with a few small holes cut out of it with a flannel tied around his waist, and black Vans to tie it all off.
"You look nice." Calum smiled. "Green Day, huh? I didn't know you liked them."
I looked down at my black high-waisted shorts, studded on one side, Green Day tank top tucked into my shorts, and maroon Vans.
"Thanks. And yeah, I've been listening to them for years. They got me through life when I was younger."
Calum nodded, an understanding look coming over his face. "Music can do that for a lot of people. But Green Day have good music, hey?"
