Calum's P.O.V

"Mum," I sighed. "Jordan and I know the rules, nothing's going to happen between us."

"Something already has happened between you!"

"I know that." I ran my hand through my hair, trying to come up with an excuse. "We kissed at that party we went to, but we realised that we didn't feel that way for each other... maybe it was just because of the alcohol." I added quietly, but mum heard.

"So you were drinking?! While underage? Calum Thomas, I thought I raised you better than this." She shook her head in disappointment.

"I didn't even drink that much! We were having fun, nothing happened." I complained.

Sitting in the home where I've grown up, in the kitchen where my family and I shared jokes and stories, I never thought I'd feel so small.

"Are you sure you two never..."

"What?" I frowned, not understanding.

Mum sighed. "You two never had sex, did you?"

My eyes widened and my cheeks turned bright red. "What? No, oh my God. I'm not having the sex talk with you, mum." I got up from my seat at the island bench, walking away quickly.

"Do you want to have sex with her? Do you feel that way towards her?" She pressed.

"Mum!" I covered my ears.

"Calum, honey, you're getting older and we need to talk about these things. Next year you'll be legal, and-"

"Mum, just stop, please." I pleaded, feeling embarrassed enough.

I'm not going to tell my mum that I feel... sexually towards Jordan, if that's how you want to put it.

"Do you even know how to put a condom on?" She continued.

"Oh my God..." I hid my burning face in my hands.

"I could teach you, or I could get your father-"

"No! Hell no! No thank you, I'll be fine."

Mum stared at me, head tilted to one side and frowning, seeming to assess me.

"Are you still even a virgin? Or are you hiding something from me?"

"Mum!" I complained again.

"Calum, this is important." She said sternly.

I gulped and mumbled, "Yes... I'm still a virgin."

Mum nodded. "Good boy. Now, back to the condom-"

"Nope, not happening. Ashton's the one with a girlfriend, you should be having this talk with him." I said quickly and ran away, towards the stairs.

"Ashton has a girlfriend?" I heard mum mutter to herself.

As I ran towards the stairs, eager to escape my mum, the front door opened and Jordan stepped in slowly. Seeing me staring at her, she hesitated but closed the door behind her, walking past me like I wasn't even there.

"Jordan? Is that you?" Mum called.

Oh God... oh God, please no. I prayed.

Jordan kept walking, ignoring my mum like she's ignored everyone these past couple of days. Maybe if she walks fast enough, we can avoid this whole situation. But she wasn't walking fast enough.

"Jordan, where have you been?" Mum came around the corner.

Surprise, surprise, Jordan ignored her. Maybe we might just be able to avoid this conversation. When she was halfway up the stairs, me still frozen in place by the door, my mum sighed.
