One moment, Jack had taken you ice-skating, joking and playing around with each other like you'd always do. Then the next, his lips were on yours, and you kissed him back instantly. Now, the two of you lied on the snow-covered ground(compliments to Jack for that), your gaze locked on his as yours trail over his perfect features: his glistening crystal blue eyes to his to his vaguely frosted eyebrows and his thin but soft yet cool lips which formed a smile. He lifted his hand over and pushed back a strand of your hair that had fallen on your face, tugging it behind your ear but his eyes never left you the whole time. "You're so beautiful, (Y/N)..." he murmured, the bass of his voice caressing each of the words with much gentleness that made butterflies flutter in your stomach.
"You're lying." You almost rolled your eyes, but decided against it. Jack pulled his hand away, raised a frosted eyebrow and the familiar infamous smirk of his returns. "Would I ever trick you?"
You huffed. "Yes!"
That answer earned a few chuckles from the winter spirit as he hauled himself up slightly, and you thought he was going to sit up, but instead, he turned over at you, one of his elbows propped him up and the other rested on you cheek as his hypnotizing blue eyes stared softly down into yours.
You felt your heart melt at the sight and a lump in your throat as you realized that his perfectly-featured face was only inches above yours.
Shivers ran down your spine repeatedly whenever his cool breath hit your lips."Well, I swear," he started, his smirk now gone, and was replaced by the warm, comforting smile that he had on earlier. "On the moon... and Bunny's love for carrots,"
You let out a giggle at his ridiculous attempt for an oath, but you didn't stop him from proceeding on with it. "That you are the most beautiful thing that I have ever laid eyes on." Jack finally finished.
"Well, that's really sweet of you to say." You beamed up at him and raised your head up a little so your lips could touch his, bringing them into a soft, sweet kiss. But the kiss didn't end the way it started or the way that you'd expected though, as the winter spirit had wrapped his cool arms around you, supporting your back and you found that your own were rested on the back his neck, occasionally your fingers played with the short tufts of hair at the nape.
Your lips moved in perfect sync, as though they're two different pieces of a puzzle that fitted together as if they were meant to be. And the cool sensation of Jack's lips just made the kiss even more special, more mesmerizing, more... enchanting...
But deep down, you knew that what you were doing, was wrong... And the image of the brunet boy who'd took you on a ride on his dragon flooded into your mind as the feeling of guilt burned in you.
Moments had passed until the two of you finally broke away from the kiss, both of you gasping for air. Once you've regained the much needed oxygen that you'd craved, you looked up to meet Jack's bright blue orbs, and right then, the guilt that's burning a hole through your heart evaporated as though it'd never been there at all. You've only known Hiccup for a few days... you didn't know what the emotion that you really felt about the viking was, but, you knew that what you're feeling for Jack was much stronger. Or maybe that's just because of his presence so close to you at the moment, well, whatever it was, you knew Hiccup wasn't coming back anytime soon.
The memory of him flying off with his dragon came abruptly into your mind, and you shut your eyes, the aching that attacked your heart was undesirably, but you couldn't push it back.
"(Y/N)," you heard Jack said which escaped you from your trance, making your eyes blink open and darted over to his. "We should really get you back home, it's late."
You nodded in agreement with his words. "Right... Okay..."
Jack pushed himself off of you and stood up with such grace that you wished you'd had even a fraction of. He then held out his pale hand, you didn't hesitate to take offer and allowed him to help you up to your own feet.
"So, you ready for another fly through the town?" Jack asked, a sly smirk tugging at the edges of his lips.
You shuddered at the idea. "Um, why don't we just walk instead...? It's much more... safer..."
Jack chuckled in response before saying, "Alright then, if that's what you want."
He bent down, picking up his staff before beginning to walk forward the path that led to your home. You quickly followed after his long strides and felt a tinge of relief hit you when you've got up to his side. You suddenly felt something cold filled the small gaps of your fingers; you moved your head down to see that Jack had placed his hand in yours and intertwined your fingers.
You smiled down at the caring gesture then up at him. He returned it gratefully and the two of you slowly made you way back to your home, appreciating every second of the walk that provided you each other's companies.
