Hiccup took your hand, grasping it tightly. "Can I ask you a question?" He whispered. You nodded. "Yeah I guess."
Hiccup looked at your entwined hands. "Do you like me?" He asked, blushing slightly. Your eyes widened. "I umm..." You didn't know if you were ready to admit it to him yet. You smiled slyly, "If you want to know the answer, you're going to have to hang around for a while."
"I can live with that." Hiccup leant forward, brushing his lips against your cheek. "I'll see you around." He smiled, squeezing your hand tightly before letting go.
"Yeah. I'd like that." You said, glancing at him as he chuckled. "Using my own line." He grinned.
"And here I was thinking you wouldn't remember." You rolled your eyes.
"And here I was thinking that you would never say that." Hiccup winked. A grin tugged at the edge of your lips. "Goodnight, Hiccup." You said before turning and opening your door.
"Goodnight (Y/N)." Hiccup chuckled. You glanced at him one more time before disappearing into the house.

"You're back." You spun around in shock, holding back a gasp as you spied the winter spirit sitting on your bed. You bit your lip. "Hi, Jack." You said. Jack stood up, walking towards you.
"Hey, (Y/N)." He whispered. He stood directly in front of you, looking into your eyes. Uncomfortable, you turned and walked around him, edging towards your bed. You sat down, falling back and staring at the ceiling completely exhausted.
"I was wondering if I could talk to you." You turned to see Jack staring at you, having not moved.
"Yeah, if you want." You shrugged. You moved, climbing under your layers of blankets and pulling them under your chin. You lay on your side, staring at the boy.
Jack moved towards you, sitting beside you. "I umm... I wanted to talk to you about what happened the other day."
"You mean how you left me?" You said, sighing."Kind of..." Jack sat beside you. You sat up, putting your elbows behind you as you looked at him. "You know you can tell me anything." You whispered. You reached forward, touching his cheek.
"I know." Jack whispered. He closed his eyes, placing his hand against yours. You felt butterflies in your stomach and bit your lip. You wished you weren't feeling this way. Jack was supposed to be your brother... Well kind of but lately he seemed like... You couldn't even describe it.
"What did I do?" You asked. You crawled over to him, sitting next to him and taking his hand in yours. Jack looked at you. 'You didn't do anything.' He whispered, "I just-" He paused, glancing down.
"It's ok." You smiled comfortingly. "I'm not going to be angry."
"You might be." Jack sighed. You pulled back, looking at him. He looked sad. You sighed, crawling onto his lap. He put his arms around you, pulling you close the way he had so many times before. "I won't. No matter what I promise."
Jack hugged you tighter. You felt nervous. "Do you remember when I wanted to ask you something?" He asked. You nodded.
"Well... I umm... I don't know how to say this-"Jack stuttered. You turned to face him. "You don't have to." You smiled.
"I want to." Jack said. You smiled and stood up, pulling him up with you. You walked to the door, opening it and walking onto your balcony. You leaned against the railing, looking at Jack as he followed.
"Do you remember how I asked if you've had a boyfriend?" He asked.
"Yeah... about that... I kind of lied... I've never had a boyfriend." You shrugged. Jack chuckled. "I could tell by your face. I've known you for ages." You giggled. "Is all of this because you want a girlfriend? I'm sure I could find you someone... I mean... just introduce me to Santa and together we can find you a girl." You winked.
"North." Jack rolled his eyes.
"To me he'll always be Santa." You chuckled. Jack sighed. "I don't want a girlfriend."
"Really?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Well I do- But not a spirit." Jack protested.
"Oh?" Your eyebrows were still raised. "Do continue." You could tell you were making this hard for him and you were trying not to laugh.
"It's just that- I feel different around you now, (Y/N)." Jack sighed. Your heart skipped a beat. "What?"
"This is hard for me to admit but... (Y/N) I think I'm- I think I might-"
The sky turned a brilliant shade of colours. You both looked up in puzzlement. "North." Jack exclaimed in shock. He clenched his staff tight, ready to leave you again.
"Wait!" You said.
"I have to go, (Y/N)." Jack looked around frantically.
"I know Jack!" You yelled, "But I want to come!" Jack bit his lips. "You're not a guardian!"
You laughed. "Since when has that ever stopped us?"
Jack rolled his eyes. "It never has."
