You leant against the balcony railing, looking up at the numerous stars that covered the sky. You sighed as your gaze fell on the moon. It was so bright, drowning out the darkness.
"Hiccup." You found yourself thinking about the boy. You wished you could've spent more time with him... You remembered flying... and when you kissed him. You giggled. You hadn't been interrupted like last time. His lips had been so soft and gentle. You could almost feel him smiling.
"Hey, snowflake." You spun around and saw Jack sitting on your roof.
"How long have you been there?" You asked, trying not to blush.
"About five seconds." Jack shrugged. He jumped down, landing beside you and taking your hand. You looked at your entwined fingers, confused.
"Jack-"
"Don't talk." Jack whispered, "I want to tell you what I was going to say before I left." You looked him in the eyes. He was staring at you, a cute grin tugging at the edge of his lips. His cheeks were tinted red, if that was even possible. "I-"
"Wait!" You held your hand up to his lips, giggling.
"What?" Jack rolled his eyes. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes. "We need to do something fun first."
❅ ❄ ❆
"When I said fun I didn't mean swimming in a freezing cold lake!" You protested. Jack chuckled. "We're not swimming." He rolled his eyes.
"We're ice-skating."
"What?" Your eyes widened.
"I.C.E.-S.K.A.T.I.N.G" Jack spelt it out of you. You playfully hit him on the arm. "Oww!" Jack rubbed it. You rolled your eyes. "I don't have skates, Frosty." You grinned.
"You doubt me too much." Jack swung his staff and tiny icicles formed on the bottom of your shoes. You looked at them, smirking. "These were new shoes!" You chuckled. Jack reached out his hand. You took it and he led you to the ice. 'Are you sure about this?' You asked nervously as you stepped onto the ice.
"Yeah... positive." Jack looked slightly worried. You bit your lip. "Now wrap your arms around my waist." He smiled. You froze, thoughts going to Hiccup. He had said that to you before.
"Hello, (Y/N)?" Jack waved his hand in front of your face, "Earth to (Y/N)."
"Hiccup." You whispered.
"What?" Jack looked puzzled. You looked up at him. He looked confused. "I umm- I thought I got the hiccup's." You bit your lip, placing your hands on Jack's arms. His were on your hips. You felt slightly awkward.
"Now take a step forward." Jack shrugged off your previous comment.
"You're joking." You protested.
Jack leant forward, lips brushing your ear. "Trust me." You felt butterflies in your stomach. You took a step forward, sliding. You slid your other foot forward as Jack moved back.
"See you can do it!" Jack chuckled. He held on to you as you practiced. "How come you can skate so easily?" You groaned.
"I'm awesome." Jack shrugged.
"Attitude."
"You know you love it." As he said it you slipped, crashing into him. You knocked him over, both of you sprawling on the floor.
"Ahh... sorry!" You yelped. Somehow you ended up under him, the cold ice freezing your back. "It's ok." Jack's hands were on your waist. His eyes widened and he leapt away, rolling beside you. "That was awkward." He muttered.
"I liked it." You shrugged. Jack turned and looked at you. "Really?" he asked. You didn't answer. Secretly you did but you didn't want to tell him.
Jack reached out his hand. You took it and he pulled you to your feet. You leant against him, gaining your footing."We should-" Suddenly Jack's lips were against yours. Your eyes widened and you barely had time to register what was happening before he pulled away. He smirked at you sheepishly, his usual confidence gone. Both you and Jack could see the grin tugging at the edge of your lips.
