"What...?" Hiccup's eyebrows knitted and his voice held a visible trance of bafflement. "What do you mean, (Y/N)...?"

"S-somet-thing's w-wrong..." you managed to mutter through your chattering teeth; the cold was spreading through your entire body, you could feel the harsh chill freezing your very veins. You had no idea how much longer you had before turning into a lifeless ice sculpture, but your guess is, not much. "Hi-Hiccup, y-you have t-to be careful... M-Marcus ha-has something... p-planned..."

Hiccup stared at you, his confused emerald orbs boring into yours but Marcus' grunts and mumbles snapped him back to the matter at hand and he broke your gaze to look at Jack. "Jack, get her to safety, but don't go back to the village, that place is a wreck and dragons still trample."

Jack gave him a sincere nod and glanced over at Astrid who was still lying unconscious on the floor close by. "What about Astrid?"

Hiccup breathed out a sigh and replied, "I'll take her back once I'm done dealing with Marcus. Now go, the faster we finish this, the faster things go back to normal."

You sucked in a deep breath. What Hiccup doesn't know is that things won't go back to normal once this is over, it won't matter if they kill Marcus, it won't matter if they save the village, it won't even matter if they save you from this current-possibly fatal-condition that you're in. Things will never go back to how it used to be.

"Alright," Jack answered and he pulled you into his arms, lifting you from the floor and murmured into your ear. "You're going to fine, (Y/N), I promise we'll find a way to save you in time."

"N-no..." you tried to mumble but you doubt Jack could hear you, even with the close distance between you two. Your voice was fading, along with your strength and resistance to keep your eyes open.

Your eyes darted over to Hiccup whom was now walking towards Marcus. Marcus was still holding his nose as though it hurt like hell, and you assume that that fact was true. You saw Hiccup reach for him, but just as he was about to lay a finger on him, Marcus' hands left his injured nose-which was a bloody, awful sight-and dug into his sides, pulling out a sharp dagger from his pockets. His movements was like lightning-fast and precise- as he swung the weapon and cut Hiccup's lower arm, causing him to jerk away.

Marcus grinned his cruel grin and raised the dagger up again, ready for another strike, probably one that could do more damage this time. But Hiccup's reflexes saved him from that fate as he was able to recover from his slight shock quickly and grabbed hold of Marcus' shoulders then forcefully pushed him back. Unfortunately, his actions only caused Marcus to stumble a few steps back. The man was visibly much broader and stronger than Hiccup whom was mostly lean and lanky.

Marcus let out a short laugh and threw a harsh kick to Hiccup's abdominal, sending the younger Biking flying across the room. There was a loud 'thump' as Hiccup's back connected with the hard wall of the room. He groaned out in pain, his face an expression of agony.

You whimpered quietly. You couldn't bear to see the scene, and Jack probably wasn't very fond of it either because he had turned his face away, unable to meet his eyes with the sight ahead. Even though he might not be so pleased of Hiccup, he would never want to see him hurt. He had begun walking away, heading for the entrance of the room. You knew he couldn't stand this just as much as you could, you knew that he would gladly go back and beat up Marcus to rescue Hiccup, but he can't, because he's following Hiccup's order to keep you safe. And you knew that he would do anything for your safety, even if that means ignoring a chance to save another's life.

Marcus cried out as he charged forward to Hiccup and stabbed his dagger in the direction of Hiccup's head. But luckily, Hiccup was fast enough to duck the vicious blow and spread his leg out, stripping Marcus from his balance and making him fall to the floor with another loud 'thump'.

Hiccup's chest was rising rapidly, his expression dazed. Marcus winced as he stood up and shouted, "Enoch, rise!"

Suddenly, the floor started shaking as though there an earthquake. The walls were collapsing, and Jack had halted in his steps, his head immediately snapped back to see Marcus beaming deviously.

The floor then burst and a large, scaly dragon emerged from it. Its head was like a snake's except for its terrifying red eyes that blazed like flames in a burning fire. You gasped, feeling like all the air from your lungs had escaped and left you without anything to survive on.

The dragon's red, flame-like eyes fell on Hiccup whom was sitting helplessly on the floor a few feet from it. His green eyes were wide with fear and you felt your heart crack.

"Cease him!" Marcus ordered.

"Hiccup!" was the last word you managed to leave your lips before the dragon attacked him.
