Your eyes widened in surprise as Baron's lips moved against yours. You drew back, confiding in the 'safety' of your chair. Baron's hand wrapped around the back of your neck, drawing you closer as he pressed his lips against yours with force. You felt a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach but at the same time... something about this seemed... you couldn't describe it. And with that, Baron's lips were gone and you were left staring at him in wonder.
You looked up curiously as Baron moved away from you, standing a short distance from the door.
"I have to admit, sweetheart, I enjoyed that." He said, pursing his lips. You had to admit you found it a bit sexy but you would never admit it.
Baron watched you curiously, searching for a reaction. "Are you going to say anything?" He asked after seconds of silence. You suddenly realised you had been quiet since the kiss. You rolled your eyes. "Are you expecting me to ask for another kiss?"
"That would be nice."
"It would, wouldn't it?" Baron raised an eyebrow at your statement. "So you felt nothing?" He asked in disbelief, "Not even the slightest thing?"
You felt butterflies in your stomach. "Did you?" You whispered the words, almost afraid of his answer.
Baron sighed. "I would be lying if I said I didn't." He smirked at you. You rolled your eyes. You had an awesome joke but thought it would be better not to say it. Still, you wished you could.
"I'll be back in an hour sweetheart." Baron smiled, "And our next meeting won't be so nice."
"Nice?" You asked incredulously. Baron didn't answer. He just smiled; eyebrow raised, and left the room.
❅ ❀ ❆
After A LOT of fidgeting you somehow managed to get the knife in your hand. You guessed your grin might have made you look slightly idiotic but you really couldn't care less. You twisted your hands, reaching down and sawing at the rope that bound you. It broke with a satisfying snap and you jumped out of your seat, making a beeline for the door. Ripping it open, you stepped outside, finding yourself standing at the bottom of a staircase. The only light was the light cast from the torches.
"Old-fashioned." You mumbled and you crept up the stairs, hoping to avoid making any noise that might symbol that you were free. As you crept you realised that you must have been underground. Multiple doors made of oak joined the staircase and not one of them was unlocked and so you sighed and continued.
Reaching the top of the stairs, your froze. You could hear voices.
"We should just kill her now!" One whispered harshly. One you'd never heard before.
"We can't. We still need her." This one you were sure was Baron's. You knew you should've kept moving but you couldn't help yourself. You leant against the oaken door, pressing your ear against it.
"We can get to Hiccup without her!"
"Marcus, shut up." Baron growled, "I can get this from her. She knows where he is. I know she does."
There was a sigh and then finally, "You have three hours Baron. Three hours to find Hiccup or she dies."
You gasped. Immediately the talking ceased. "What was that?" Baron grumbled. You moved away from the door, arms raised awkwardly as though you were trying to stop the door from opening without actually touching it.
Footsteps edged to the door. You didn't care anymore. You gave up being quiet. You turned and sprinted up the stairs.
Shouts echoed below you. Fear gripped you. You ran. You ignored the panting and the pain in your side as you followed the winding staircase.
"(Y/N)!" You were sure it was Baron's voice. You reached a door, turning the handle and finding it unlocked. You yanked it open and ran through, leaving it swinging on its hinges.
You immediately froze as cold overwhelmed you. You looked around in awe and confusion. Around you, snow flew everywhere. The ground was covered in a thick coat. Snow hit you, freezing you to the bones. You realised where you were. Well not quite... but you knew you were in a snow blizzard.
"Stop her!" Baron's voice called. You turned, glancing inside at the warmth. You didn't have much time. You breathed in deeply, the cold hurting your throat. There was only one way you were going to lose them. You bit your lip. You were going to die anyway so what did you have to lose... right? You weren't convinced but you turned and ran into the blizzard.
So normally, there's no notes at the bottom of chapters, but I just wanna say that, now there's a very.... lousy drawing of Baron... Lol, just for those people who wonders what he looks like.... Also, I know, it's crap, don't rub it in :P
PS. This amazing chapter was written by Anna Roberts , you go gurl! Lol
