'What!' You didn't wait for an answer, instead jumping off the bed and running towards the door. Jack didn't even have time to react before you had slammed it shut and were rushing down the hall.
'(Y/N) wait!' Jack yelled, bashing his fist against the door. You smirked as came to a halt. The door must have locked itself. 'Why should I?' You taunted.
You heard a pause and then finally, 'Because you need me.'
You bit your lip softly. 'Why?' You asked, raising an eyebrow.
'I err... well because-' Jack stuttered awkwardly. You could almost see him biting his lip, gazing at the ground and shuffling from side to side. The thought made you smile softly and you turned and moved towards the door.
'How can I trust you?' You asked as you reached, 'What if you just shove me in there when I let you out?'
The room was silent. Your heart sped up, waiting for his reply. But he never did. 'Jack?' You asked. No answer. You heard a loud thump from within the room, making you worry. 'Jack what are you doing?'
Another loud thump and the sound of something shattering...
'(Y/N)!' Jack screamed, voice raised an octave. 'Go get help now!'
'Jack what's going on!' You heard the sound of a vase crash as you bit your lip. This could be a trick... This could be Jack's plan to get out... Don't fall for it... Oh gosh what if he's in trouble...
You heard Jack scream and that was it. You shoved the door open, expecting to find the war raging in the room but instead Jack grabbed you, spun your both outside, slammed the door shut and pinned you against the wall.
'Yep.' You mumbled, 'It was a trick.' And then you burst out laughing. Jack looked at you curiously. 'Your taking this well-' He looked surprised.
'Whoa...' You mumbled, 'My heads spinning. Jack I hate turning!'
'Are you drunk?'
'Do I look drunk?' You raised an eyebrow questioningly.
'No but you talk like you are.' Jack's face was so close to yours. You could feel his breath on your lips every time he breathed.
'Do I?' You asked, eyes glancing at his lips. They were a light shade of pink, standing out against his pale skin. They were pulled up in a quirky smile, making them even more irresistible. He must have noticed you looking because his hand reached up, sliding down your cheek. '(Y/N).' He whispered.
You looked up, eyes meeting his. He immediately looked at the ground, surprising you. 'What?' You asked gently, lifting his chin back up to face you.
'I-' He opened his mouth to speak but couldn't find the words, instead staring at you. 'I don't know how to say it.' He whispered.
'Just say it.' His hand was still on your cheek and you cupped it, pulling it close. Jack looked at your hand. 'Well remember when we played that... game?' He asked. You felt butterflies in your stomach. You really shouldn't have been talking about this right now... there was going to be a war! And yet you couldn't pull yourself away. 'Yes?' You asked.
Jack sighed, biting his lip. 'Well you said I won a prize and I... well I-'
'Jack it's ok.' You whispered. 'You can ask for anything.' And you meant it. You would've given him anything right now. Anything he asked for. You reached up, running your fingers through his white hair to his neck. You smiled. He smiled back sweetly, arms wrapping around your waist and pulling closer.
'You know I like you (Y/N) and I want to say the L word...' Love you thought, He loves me? I thought-
'And well I would but I know now isn't exactly the best time so-' Jack's words stopped abruptly. You looked at him, waiting for him to continue. He seemed to gather his thoughts. 'There are so many reasons why we shouldn't be together, (Y/N). I know that. I always have. And I don't care. I care about you, more then anything and I want you to be happy-'
'Jack.' You whispered, 'I'm always happy with you.'
He smiled slightly. 'And I'm always happy with you. I would go to the end of the earth for you! And every time you kiss me... it's just like, I get this feeling and it's, it's amazing!'
'I know.' You felt heat rushing to your cheeks. 'I get it to.' Jack's grip around you tightened. 'You do?' He asked. You nodded. 'You need to tell me what you want, Jack, please.'
'I-' Jack seemed to falter and he shook his head, pulling away from you and facing the ground.
You felt your heart breaking. 'Fine.' You whispered. You sighed, turning and started to walk away. You felt a hand on your waist. 'Wait.' Jack whispered. He spun you around so you were facing him. 'To hell with it... I love you!' He exclaimed. You never got to answer. Instead he smashed his lips into your, kissing you with everything he had. You could see how much he needed you from the kiss... All his emotions were in it... pain, love, sadness, happiness... everything. And you kissed him back with exactly the same emotions, maybe even more because yours had been so hidden. Only now did you truly realise them.
Jack pulled away from you quickly, resting his forehead against yours as he panted. 'Wow.' He chuckled.
'Yeah.' You were just as breathless, 'We have to do that again.'
Jack chuckled deeply. 'That was fun.'
You smiled, kissing him on the cheek quickly before pulling away, still completely flushed. 'You need to tell me your prize or you won't get it.' You grinned cheekily, 'And if you do, then I'll kiss you again.'
Jack chuckled and then his face turned serious. He took your hands, pulling you closer. 'I want you to promise me that you will be happy, no matter how this turns out and whom you choose.' His tone were sincere, 'Even if it mean I can't be with you.'
