"Look, it's not like I planned this, I-" you tried to explain but Jack cut you off before you had a chance to finish.

"Planned this or not, you knew about this, (Y/N)!" Jack yelled furiously, his face reddening with anger, and his pale skin just made the color even more visible. "How could you...?" his voice lowered, his breathing slightly ragged due to his earlier scream.

"I..." you trailed off, your eyes darted over to Hiccup whose expression was not much different than the winter spirit's. "I-I... I'm so sorry..."

Neither of them spoke for a few seconds, until Hiccup decided to break the nerve-wrecking silence by saying, "Well, I guess we'll just have to solve this in the old-fashion way,"

"Please no duel, Hiccup." You pleaded as you assumed that was what he was going to say.

"I was going to say, dragon race," the brunet viking corrected you; you wanted to roll your eyes at him but protest against it, thinking that the two of them were already mad enough at you, you don't need to give them extra intolerant behavior to add to the lists of mistakes that you'd so carelessly made.

"Dragon?" Jack huffed in disbelief and turned his attention back to you; his vaguely frosted eyebrows furrowed in a mixture of anger and annoyance. "What is this guy babbling on about anyway?"

"Well, what's up with the stick, grandpa?" Hiccup taunted, referring to Jack's staff while also making fun of his silver-white hair.

"Oh, boy..." you sighed under your breath. "This is not gonna end well..."

But to your surprise, Jack didn't go off and freeze Hiccup or yell at him... He just slowly shook his head, a pained sort of smile on his face. "Nice joke," he said through gritted teeth. "I'm curious, did your parents run out of good names when they had you or are you just dumb enough to give yourself that name?"

"Right..." you mumbled, really rolling your eyes this time, but the two boys didn't seem to notice as they were both busy shooting daggers at each other.

You quickly spoke up when you saw from the corner of your eye that Hiccup was about to come out with another snarky taunt. "Can we please just get along? I know this is a crazy thing to ask for-"

"Extremely crazy!" Jack said.

"Completely bonkers!" Hiccup added, making me and Jack slowly gaze over at him with a raised eyebrow. "What?" the brunet asked, perplexed.

"Glad you both agree on something." You said sarcastically and continued before he could protest. "Just please, I need you both to calm down so I can fix this..."

"Fix this?" Jack inquired, anger filled his tone as he spoke. "You're acting like we're some kind of unsolvable math question to you, (Y/N), you can't just fix this. There is no solution that you can choose that all of us will end up happy, because that's not reality."

You felt as though you'd just been slapped in the face, your chest rising up and down more rapidly as you breathed in and out. Your gaze never left Jack who looked absolutely crushed.

"I'm leaving." He then announced before getting off the bed and walking over to the balcony doors. "Tell me when you've 'fixed' your mistakes." And with that, he left, leaving the curtains flowing gently as the outside breeze came in through the opened doors that led out to the balcony.

You sighed.

"He's right." You heard Hiccup say and lifted your head to meet his green orbs staring intently back. "You have to make a choice, (Y/N), and I'll come back whenever you've chose to do so." He murmured and headed towards the door.

You opened your mouth to stop him, to beg him to stay, but it was useless, he was already out the room and probably down the stairs by now.

You let out a loud sigh and buried your face in your hands.

"What am I going to do...?"
