"Seriously, Hiccup, where are we going?" you asked the brunet boy as he led you to an unfamiliar bridge; his hand still held onto yours as he took you across it with much caution since the wood that it's made out of seemed kind of unstable.

"You'll see." He just gave you a smile and proceeded moving forward.

You returned his smile with a curious look, which he'd seemed to notice but decided to ignore instead. "You're not gonna take me to some dark, deserted ally and slit my throat, right?" you joked, but felt a sudden shot of fear hit you as the possibility of the theory might be real.

Hiccup stopped and turned back at you this time, his gaze meeting yours. "First of all, (Y/N), that's disgusting," he stated, you nodded in agreement. "And second, do I look like someone who would do that?"

"Hmm..." you mumbled, your eyes trailing him up and down. "No, but, you can never judge a book by its cover!"

Your words caused the boy to let out a chuckle and you smiled at the sweet sound of it. "Guess you're right." He grinned. "Also, we're here."

It was only then until you bothered to turn and observe your surroundings, you two were in some sort of forest; slight layers of snow covered the branches of the leafless tress and the ground beneath their feet. "And where is here exactly...?" you asked, your voice trailing off vaguely as your
eyes scanned around the place.

But Hiccup wasn't paying attention to you, making you glance over at his direction due to his abrupt lack of speech. He was bending down, his hand beckoning something forward, faint mumbles of words escaped his lips and you stepped closer to see what he was looking and talking to.

It took a few moments before you were able to make out the soft whispers that he made. "C'mon, boy, there's someone that I want you to meet." You raised your eyebrows; who was he talking to...?

"C'mon, boy," he called out again, you opened your mouth, about to speak but in less than a blink of an eye, something black dashed out from the further part of the forest and taking you by absolute shock and surprise, preventing you from saying anything.

You blinked your widened eyes repeatedly as you stared at what the black being was, it has a longish tail, quite scaly skin and pair of wings but it also seemed like the ones that are similar to dinosaurs, large greenish yet blackish eyes, and it was right beside Hiccup...

"Good boy." You heard Hiccup complimented as he patted the creature's head.

"W-what is that...?" you stuttered slightly as you continued to stare at the two.

Hiccup's gaze fell back on you and a smile played on his lips. Standing back up, he guided the creature towards you, you tired to back up, but you had nowhere to go unless back onto the bridge, and you certainly don't want to go back on that dangerous thing!

"(Y/N)," the boy began and gestured over to the black creature by his side. "This is Toothless, Toothless, this is (Y/N)."

"U-um... It's nice to meet you...?" you greeted, unsure of what to say.

Toothless nodded his head and stuck out his tongue, something you would normally see dogs do...

"Is it some kind of mutant dog...?" you asked Hiccup awkwardly, but your gaze never left the creature.

Hiccup laughed and Toothless seemed to be doing the same, though he didn't make a sound. "No, he's not a dog," he grinned in between laughs, you gave him a weak smile. "Or I don't think he is anyway..." he glanced back suspiciously at Toothless who gave him an eye roll and huff, Hiccup chuckled. "Just kidding, buddy."

He then looked back at you while his hand rested on Toothless' head, rubbing it gently, making him almost purr like a cat. "He's a dragon, a Night Fury to be exact, one of the rarest ones known to man! ...Or Viking."

"Viking?" you raised an eyebrow, baffled by his usage of words.

"Yea," Hiccup said. "I'm a Viking, thought you would've figured it out sooner, from the clothes and all." It's only then that you actually took a good look at his outfit and realized that it was sort of armour-ish, yet, it seemed velvet as well. Guess all this time you were too caught up by his dorky smiles and his emerald eyes that you didn't really pay much attention to his attire.

"Oh... right..." you murmured.

There was a slight pause before one of you spoke again; it was Hiccup who did so. He raised his head and asked, "So you ready for our date?" he had an almost smirk on his face which caused a light blush to spread across your cheeks.

"Wait, you mean..." you trailer off but soon regained your voice. "He's coming with us...?"

Hiccup shrugged. "Something like that." He then got on Toothless who seemed more than willing to let the brunet do so. "So you ready?"

"W-wait..." you stuttered again, your gaze locked onto his. "Y-you mean we're r-riding him?"

"Yep," the Viking nodded.

"Um, I..." your voice lowers and you looked down at your shoes. "I'm not really good with flying... or heights in general..."

Hiccup smiled and reached his hand out, making you lift up to meet his reassuring green eyes. "You'll be fine, just trust me."
You smiled back, and without hesitation, placed your hand in his.
