Seconds, minutes, maybe even hours had passed until you've finally arrived into the heart of the dark, foggy woods. Most of the trees that surrounded you were either bare or burnt; something happened here... something bad...

The unbearable choking of blood had ceased but the wound in your side continued to bleed profusely. Your head was spinning, but you'd still managed to make it into the woods... alone, just how the voice had asked you to.

Good...

The voice came back.

You've listened to me... And for this, you shall be rewarded.

You shall be saved.

Your vision was beginning to blur, each bare and lifeless tree were starting to look like big, dark blobs of black ink that had accidentally spilled on a piece of paper. "Wh-where are y-you...?" you asked the voice aloud, though your voice came out as more of a faint whisper.

Where am I?

It repeated your question, but you could sense a hint of mockery in the voice.

Oh, my dear, I'm right behind you.

You jerked yourself around, but there was nothing behind you... or maybe there was, but you couldn't make out all the similar-looking black blobs.

I have always been behind you... following you... watching you...

"W-who are you?" you finally blurted out, that question has been burning in your throat, waiting impatiently to burst out when the opportunity occurred.

You then heard the voice laugh, a low and cruel laugh... A laugh that sent shivers down your spine in pure terror, and beads of sweat slid down your forehead and neck.

My dear, why would you even ask such a question? ... When the answer was so obviously placed in front of you?

You looked up, blinked your eyes and your vision cleared for a split moment. That's when you saw them, the pair of glowing, yellow eyes... The same yellow eyes that you'd saw earlier.

You let out a gasp and you lost your balance, falling back onto the dirty ground of the dark forest. What have you gotten yourself into...?

Though, I still don't think you know me, I mean, we haven't really met before...

But I know about you, and you've evidently have heard of me.

"N-No, I haven't." your voice quivered as you spoke. "I've never heard of you, no one told me anything of you."

Oh, you have, from your sweet boy, Jack.

"Jack...?" you mumbled without having the meaning to do so. "W-what?"

I've heard him talked about me, always in a furious tone and gritting his teeth when he does. I find it quite amusing really.

"Wha...?" you trailed off as your vision gone completely black. And that's when you saw him... His terrifying, glowing, yellow eyes, his grey and pale skin... the dark shadows that followed behind him...

"My dear," he spoke and you can finally see his face this time... it wore a vicious, malicious look that made you shake with fear. "I am Pitch Black."
