The second you hit the water you felt the cold seep into your bones, forcing you to shiver. The waves pounded against you and you found yourself panicking. You could die! You tried to rise for air, only to be smashed back under as you engulfed a pool of sea water. You couldn't breathe. You couldn't move. You were being thrashed around like a rag doll in the dark waters. Now your only option was to sink and you had to admit, you were second-guessing that option.
Your lungs burned as you sunk to the bottom, realising that this weird woman might have been planning to drown you the entire time. You just had to have hope... and a hell of a lot of faith in her.
Your feet hit something hard but you barely registered it. Your mind was fogging, swimming, refusing to let you focus and all you could feel was the pain in your lungs.
Nothing happen. Really, it was quite peaceful.... Your mind flashed to Baron, sorrow and more pain filling you. You felt guilty... responsible... but you couldn't think about that right now.
Suddenly the earth beneath you began to shake uncontrollably. Your eyes burned as you looked around, confused. Then the water left your skin. You were dry but you were still at the bottom of the ocean.
'Hiya (Y/N)' A voice yelled. You shrieked, then realised you didn't swallow any water. You reached out, touching anything but only finding air.
You frowned, confused. 'What-'
A turtle suddenly swam towards you, grinning! Wait what?
'Hello?' it waved its flipped in your face. 'Earth to (Y/N)?'
'I must be going mad' You mumbled, 'Talking Turtles? I'm definitely dead.'
The green turtle shook its head sadly. 'Humans.' he muttered, 'You must trust your heart. Not your head..'
'Yeah well my head seems a lot more believable at the moment.' You groaned. 'You can't be real!'
The turtle paused for a second, face scrunched up in disbelief. Finally, 'You're kidding me.'
'What?' You raised an eyebrow.
'You mean you don't believe in me? But you believe in Jack and dragons? Thats not fair!'
You opened your mouth to speak but found no words.
'And here I was putting you in a nice little bubble so you could breathe and you don't believe in me!' The turtle didn't actually seem mad. 'I'm insulted!' He chuckled, 'Anyway, my name's Morgan.' He held out his flipper. You awkwardly shook it, afraid to hurt his feelings again.
'You mentioned Jack...' You said slowly.
'Yep.' Morgan popped the p. 'Have I told you, you're gorgeous!' He winked.
'Thanks.' You smirked.
'Really... you would make a beautiful mermaid!'
'Mer- It doesn't matter.' You sighed, 'Would you be able to show me how to find my friends?'
'Did you pass the test?' Morgan raised an eyebrow. You bit your lip. 'I don't know...' You said honestly.
'Just kidding!' Morgan laughed, 'You would be dead if you didn't!'
Your eyes widened. 'Cruel!'
'Sweetheart, I'm completely serious.' said Morgan, 'Anyway, climb on! I'll take you to your friends.'
