"The school is on a lock down drill." She takes a long pause, to calm herself, to catch her breath, "There's nothing to worry about, girls." Panic.
Everyone begins to shake and the ENTIRE atmosphere has changed to dread, horror and tension. Tears roll down Ella's cheek as Megan rubs her back. I can tell she's scared, terrified. Mia starts to have an anxiety attack and pulls out her smashed up phone, she begins to violently tap the cracked screen. She then quickly presses it against her ear,
"Mum!" sobs "Mum!" (she attracts the demons)
"Mia McKettric, phone away please, your parents have been contacted." Ms Dredge is lying, her speciality. A demon then quickly snatches her phone from her hands, leaving her confused and speechless. I rush over to Mia, to calm her nerves.
"Mia, it's ok, it's just a lock down drill, it's for our own benefit. Ok?" I lie, to calm her, by her side, hugging her shoulders and resting my chin on her head. She nods. Ella was still very stressed and uneasy but stands still with her head high and Megan's support. But if I'm honest, I was terrified too, but I tend not to show fear, even though the slightest thing can make me jump. Ms Dredge gestures us out, unable to force another word from her thin, dry lips.
We all go back to form, to calm our nerves, no one was allowed out of sight. On our way we pass Jess, lovely, LOUD Jess. We know Jess from drama club, very bubbly and very funny. But we can tell she is shaken by the drill, yet she still has her big smile. Jess's bright face immediately assured Ella that everything was OK. But was it?
Miss can tell we are all uncomfortable, but that doesn't bother her. She just sat back in her spiny chair, arms folded, as per usual.  But she didn't let anyone go to the toilet, or fill up our bottles, or do anything! Just sit, in silence. I could tell something was wrong. We could tell something was wrong. We couldn't do anything, not even doodle. I started singing a little tune to lighten the mood but was instantly stopped with a violent SHUSH!
