School's apocalypse

2 more days - Megan's PoV

I've never seen Ella crack and freak out like that, I've always thought she was all about rainbows and butterflies but after watching her beat some bitch to death, I feel QUITE differently. Lottie's deformed body just lays on the floor and Ella can't even look at her.
   "What did he say to you before he died?" Ella asks, wiping the blood away from her cheeks. Jake steps away from Charlotte, revealing her pale face stained with horror.
   "He said to tell you he loves you and the whole bus ride he was talking about proposing to you." She says, walking to Ella and holding her, taking her away from all the hate and death in the changing room.
Ella breaks a single tear from her eye and hugs Charlotte back.
   "At least he died a human and not one of them." I say, trying to lighten the mood.
  "Well, actually -" says Jake but is quickly interrupted by Charlotte's stare to stop talking, but is too late - Ella heard Jake.
   "What did you say?" Says Ella, breaking from Charlotte's hold. "You killed him before he turned! How didn't he die a human?" She asks turning to Charlotte.
   "Well after I -" Charlotte pauses and takes a big gulp of air, "- shot him, I went to the supply cupboard, got some guns and went back to his body where he was a zombie, I was so confused." She explains, making another tear dance from Ella's water line.
   "We think it's something in the atmosphere that makes dead bodies come back to life." Says Jake, taking Charlotte's hand, showing his support.
   "Like in the Walking Dead?" Asks Billy, staying close by my side. Jake and Charlotte nod in response.
   "Well this is fucking marvellous." Says Mia, scooching away from the pool of Lottie's blood.
   "Sorry to interrupt your 'discovery' but what's the plan now?" Asks Hunter from across the room.
   "I was thinking we leave tonight." Says Jake, placing his hand on Hunter's shoulder.
   "Tonight?! We can't! Jackson's arm must heal!" Says Mia, standing from Jackson, protecting him.
   "I agree with Jake, tomorrow is the last day before the teachers kill the entire school." Says Hunter, standing next to Jake with pride.
   "No we're not leaving tonight!" Exclaims Mia.
   "Mia, I love you but even if we left tomorrow I wouldn't heal by then, we should leave tonight." Continues Jackson, making Mia feel slightly betrayed as he drags himself from the floor and stands beside Jake and Hunter where Mia scurries over to hold him up.
   "If you're going, I'm going with you." Says Mia, turning Jackson's face and kissing him.
   "Guys, what about Jess and Harry?" Asks Keoni, concerned about her lost friends.
   "Who?" Asks Hunter.
   "What about them?" Asks Jake.
   "Aren't they here?" Asks Charlotte.
   "They went out to get food and first aid supplies the other day and haven't come back since, I've been worrying this whole time and no one even noticed?" Exclaims Keoni, distraught over her missing best friend. "I'm finding them."
   "Let me come with you." Says Hunter, blocking Keoni's path way.
   "I can do this by myself. You didn't care before, why care now as soon as someone YOU care about goes?" She asks, pushing him out of the way.
   "There are some things you don't know about me!" Says Hunter, holding her back.
   "Oh what you can fart rainbows? Oh no, you're secretly a my little pony!" Exclaims Keoni.
   "Guys, stop arguing, we're a team now. We stick together." Declares Billy, bringing us all back to life, setting a fire under our arses. He gives me a laddish smile and squeezes my hand.
"Billy's right. Hunter, Keoni both of you are going to get Jess and Harry, also get more food and first aid, we'll recruit to the bus to get the last of the weapons we all meet up in the garage. Ok?" Commands Jake.
"So we're really doing this?" Asks Mia, nervous of the future for the one she loves.
We all nod.
"I'm sure as hell ready." Says Ella.
"We could have guess per from the way you just beat someone to death." Says Hunter, trying to be funny.
"Do you have a fucking problem?" Asks Ella, severely and glaring at Hunter.
"Nah, I'm glad you killed that bitch." Days Hunter, smiling snd laughing to himself.
"I just never knew you could do that." I say, astonished.
"I'm different now, I'm a shell of a body whose ready to to fight as revenge for Chris. Up there." She mutters, looking up into the heavens, if there are any anymore. As we're all about to leave, Billy says,
"Wait guys, what do we do with this?" He asks, pointing at Lottie's body oozing with blood.
"Fuck it if you want. I'm taking this." Says Ella, taking her nudes weapon, the crow bar.
"Guys." Says Keoni,
"Come on let's go." Replies Hunter.
"No, guys!" She exclaims.
"WHAT?!" We all shout in chorus.
"L - l - Lottie!" She cries, pointing at the zombie of Lottie.
"If I can do it once, I can do it again." Says Ella, swinging the crow bar into its head, cracking open its head, making brains pour out like the yolk from a cracked egg. "That did the trick."
