School

Mia's POV

"MIA GET UP NOW. YOU'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" Yay school, the greatest thing in the world, especially when you have to wake up early 5 days a week and go to a place that is like a prison

I got out of bed and went into my bathroom to brush my hair and teeth. Once I did that I went back into my room and got my clothes. I just put on the usual stuff, I wear ripped jeans, a graphic t-shirt, and because it's a little chill out I'm wearing my leather jacket. I slipped on my Adidas sneakers, got my bag, and went downstairs to get something to eat. I just got a pop tart and was ready to go.

"Bye, I'm going to school!" I ran out the door before anyone can say anything, I wasn't in the mood for anything someone wanted to say to me and I was almost late for school.

I got into my car which was a Nissan GTR. It was a nice dark blue because why not. I had a friend when I was young, we both liked cars and I would ALWAYS obsess over GTR's he said he liked them too but, we never talk anymore so it doesn't really matter.

I started my car and drove to school. Today is the last day till spring break and then my birthday! I was turning 17! I can't wait! One more year until I am a real adult.

I pulled up to the school and of course, everyone looks at my car, I mean I know it's a cool car. I pulled into a parking spot and got out, grabbed my bag, and walked to the front of the school. While I was walking I heard a rev of an engine, so I looked back to see a white 2010 GTR coming up to the school. It was awesome and it caught everyone's attention, including mine. The person parked the car and got out, and out came the school's most popular boy. He wasn't a jock or anything, he was just famous on YouTube and he's really good at scootering. I mean he's amazing I've seen him before. Remember before when I mentioned I was friends with a boy when I was young, well that was him. His name is Tanner Fox, and he most likely doesn't remember me.

I turned back and walked into the school and straight to my locker. I opened my locker to get my books, papers, and binders and stuffed them into my backpack and went straight to my first class, Science. I walked downstairs and into my class, and sat in the back like always. I started doodling in my notebook when the bell rang and everyone went to their seats.

I wasn't paying attention to the lesson I was too busy doodling whatever came into my mind, but then the teacher called my name and I snapped out of my thoughts

"Yes, Mrs.Kramer?" I said, still in a slight daze.

"Do you have a partner?"

"Um no" I answered

"Okay well, you and Tanner will be partners for this project" I looked at Tanner then back at my teacher.

"Okay," I said with a fake smile, I got my stuff and walked over to Tanner's table, and set everything down.

I try my hardest not to look at tanner. Where me and tanner left things was bad. Last time we actually had a conversation we fought. Tanner said that we shouldn't be friends anymore and I got mad so we started arguing, then I just left and ran back home crying, and we haven't talked to since. He's always with his friends and the girls are all over him.

"Okay now start working!" My teacher said, so I grabbed my laptop and opened it.

"So what element do you want to do for our project?" Tanner asked

"Um, I honestly don't know I was just about to search up the periodic table. But I kinda wanna do an element that not a lot of people know." I answered

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea" I turned to see him smiling, so I thought we have to have a good relationship in order for this project to be fun we can't hate each other.

"So how have you been?" I looked at him surprised

"You actually remember me?" He looked at me confused.

"Why wouldn't I remember my childhood best friend?"

"Because you have more and better friends," I said while looking back at my laptop.

"That's not true, none of them are like you," He said.

"How so?" I retorted.

"They don't have your sense of humor, and all they talk about is their YouTube channels and other crap. It just gets boring, we used to have so much fun together with make-believe, playing games, getting ice cream, going to OUR spot" I mentally gasped, but still continued to look at my laptop.

"You remember our spot?" I said, trying not to show my shock.

"I sometimes go there hoping you'd be there but I guess you don't" I sighed.

"I do just not all the time anymore" I looked back to him and he looked at me.

"I miss hanging out with you Mia" That, that was the one sentence that broke my heart. He actually misses me. I was about to say something but the bell rang so I said.

"Our element is Plutonium," I said while dashing out of the classroom.

I went my whole day avoiding Tanner, and as soon as the last bell rang, I ran out of the school, straight to my car. I decided that I was going to drive to the beach. When I finally got to the beach I walked down a cliff and right on a rock. MY rock, well mine and Tanner's rock, but I'm still not sure about us.

"Figured you'd be here" A males voice as cold as ice said. It sent shivers down my spine.
