I Can't Believe You Did This

Mia's POV

Things have been good at home.

Well almost everything.

Nevaeh has been awesome, she's such a good baby, she's easy to take care of. I've been fine, I've actually made 8 new songs for my next album. I will be recording it soon, Shawn has been on tour for a few weeks, his new album has broken the charts, everybody loves it, including me. I've helped with some of the songs, and he's helped me with some of mine.

But that's not the issue, Tanner is the issue.

He just hasn't been the same these last 4 days. The day he started acting strange was when he got back from the store.

Flashback

I was in Nevaeh's room when I heard the front door open "Looks like daddy's home, let's go say hi" I walked out of Nevaeh's room, and walked into the kitchen. Tanner was in there, putting the bags onto the island table "Hey baby, how was the store?" Tanner jumped when he heard my voice "God, you scared me" "Sorry" I said while laughing "What's got you so jumpy?" "Nothing, just didn't hear you walk in" I squinted my eyes at him, just to make sure he wasn't lying. His face at a troubled look, he looked upset, scared, and guilty. But why? "Are you sure Tanner, you don't seem okay" I walked over to him, and gave him a hug "Yeah, I just saw something sad on my way home, it just got me thinking of sad stuff" "Okay, but you know if something's bothering you, you can talk to me" He pulled away, and smiled at me "Of course I know that, and I'm very grateful to have someone like that" I smiled at him, and he gave me a passionate kiss "How are both my girls doing?" "We're doing great" He smiled and kissed Nevaeh's head "Fantastic"

End of flashback

I believed him at first, but then after 4 days, nothing's changed, he gets scared easily, he always has this distressed look on his face. He hasn't really shown any affection to me, or Nevaeh. He does spend a lot of time in her room when she cries, or needs her diaper changed.

"Babe, where are you?" I heard Tanner say "In our room" I shouted back. I heard footsteps running to our room. The door opened, and Tanner stood in the doorway "Jake just called, he asked if I wanted to hang out with himself, can I?" "Okay? Why are you asking me?" "Well- I just wanted to know if it was okay" "Of course it's okay, why wouldn't it be?" "Well, I didn't know if you wanted me to be home" I smiled "Tanner, it's really nice that you ask me if you can go out, by I'm not your mother, you don't have to ask for permission to go out. Go out, have fun, you don't need to ask me" He nodded his head "I didn't know if you needed me to do anything around the house" I got up from the bed, and walked over to him "Go have fun you doof!" He laughed, and kissed my lips "Okay, I'll be back before 7" He pecked my lips on last time, and walked away. I shook my head, and jumped back onto the bed. I pulled out my phone, and went onto twitter, I heard the door close, meaning Tanner had left.

I grabbed Nevaeh, and put her in her little stroller. I thought it would be nice if me and Nevaeh went to the park for a bit, you know to get some fresh air, I haven't really been out of the house, neither has Nevaeh. I put my jacket on, and grabbed my phone, and wallet. I opened the front door, and walked out with Nevaeh. Ahhhh fresh air.

I sat down on the park bench, and took Nevaeh out of her stroller. I cradled her in my arms, and looked at all the little kids on the playground. I smiled at all the kids running around, thinking that in a few years Nevaeh will be one of them. As I was looking around, I saw two people walking around the park talking. They look oddly familiar for some reason, but I couldn't put my finger on it. They looked like they were having an argument, I could hear them, they weren't that far away "You can't just come back into my life Madison! I have a family, I have a child, I'm married, I can't keep seeing you!" "Baby, come on! You miss me, and I miss you!" The girl, Madison was it? She put her hand on the guys cheek. He almost started to lean into her hand, but then pulled away "Stop Madison! You can't just come back into my life, and ruin everything! You messed with me at first, you missed me even though I was dating someone, you dated my best friends husband, and now you are here. Why? Don't you get it! You kissed me at the store a few days ago, you left me confused, you made my wife concerned. Seeing you right now, it's so wrong, especially when you called me, in the middle of the night, just so you can make out with me!" "You know I can kiss you 10 times better than Mia can"

Wait, what?

Madison? Mia? My best friends husband?

Madison, as in Tanner's ex-girlfriend?

No, it can't be?

I took a deep breath, and put Nevaeh back in her stroller. I slowly walked over to the two arguing people, and stopped. I got a good look at the guys face, and my heart dropped into my stomach. It's Tanner, why is he with her? He said that she called him in the middle of the night, and made out with her.

I started to cry silently, and moved to get a better view, but I stepped on a twig, making Tanner and Madison look in my direction. Once his eyes landed on me, his whole face dropped. More tears fell down my face, and Nevaeh started to fuse "Mia, it's not what it looks like" He walked over to me, but I backed up. I scoffed "Re-really? S-so you d-didn't g-go out in t-the m-middle o-of the night, j-just to make out w-with his ex-girlfriend w-hen he had a wife, and a-a b-baby at home. A-m I imagining this. You lied to me!" I started to raise my voice "Mia, please listen to me" His eyes started to water "N-no, I can't do this right now!" I started to walk away with Nevaeh, and Tanner was hot on my trail.

"M-Mia please listen t-to me!"

"I-I never want to see you again!"

"You don't mean that!"

I turned around and faced him.

"Oh, I promise you I mean that. Don't come looking for me, don't follow me, don't call me, and don't talk to me!"

Ohhhhhh.

So as you guys might've seen before, the reads on this story have gone down tremendously, and so did the comments, votes, and parts. This happened because for stories, you can't have over 200 parts, so I had to delete all of the authors Notes, updates, and stuff like that. I am very upset about it, but I had to delete the parts, because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to continue the story. Now this story only has 45K reads, it used to have 66K reads, that's very bad, I wish that it didn't happen because I was so close to getting over 70K. It's going to take a long time for me to get back to that number of reads, but I'm going to try my best.
