Mia's POV

I'm at Tanner's house just hanging out when I started to get hungry "TANNER! IM HUNGRY WANT ME TO GET FOOD?!" I yelled while walking into his room "Um ya sure. Want me to come?" "No no it's fine. What do you want?" "Chick-Fil-A?" "Of course you do. Okay I'll be right back love you!" I walked over and kissed him. He has a boot on now so he can put pressure on his ankle, and he can walked without his crutches so ya! I now have a brace on my arm I got my cast off, two weeks ago. I grabbed my car keys and walked out to my GTR. I recently got it wrapped by the same place Tanner got his, it's now like a metallic blue and it has new exhaust too! It's so cool!

I drove to chick-Fil-a and got mine and Tanner's food. I got back to his house and we ate. Once we finished we were just cuddling on his bed watching a movie. After we finished the movie it was still light out I asked Tanner "Hey I'm gonna go to the beach and get some shots of the sunset. You don't have to come with me but don't worry if I get back late, I'll probably be wondering on the beach or just go back home" "Okay. I think I'm gonna stay here I'm pretty tired, but tomorrow show me the pics of the sunset" "Okay. I love you Tanner" "I love you more Mia" We kissed and I grabbed my camera and walked to the beach. I didn't feel like driving so I walked, I could use fresh air. Once I got to the beach I pulled out my camera and started taking pictures of waves.

I took like 10 pictures of the sunset and the waves when I walked out to mine and Tanner's spot. It looked absolutely beautiful with the sunset and the waves in the background and me being the nerd I am, I had to take a picture. It looked so beautiful, i thought it represented our relationship. I can't wait to show Tanner! I was looking at the pictures I took when I heard footsteps behind me, I turned around to see a black figure behind me. The figure looked up and his face sent chills down my spine. It was Leo. I stared at him in shock "Hey baby long time no see" baby. He would say that all the time before he used to yell at me. Oh god he's going to beat me, and no one can help. I'm one swift motion he slapped me really hard on my face. It stung so badly. I started to tear up. The memories or him beating me flooded into my brain. I tried to run away but he grabbed my arm and punched me in the stomach. I fell to the ground coughing really badly "You bitch. You shouldn't have left me!" He punched me in the face and it hurt like hell. He kept on hitting me and I started to feel my eyelids getting heavier. Then all the sudden he stopped and I heard screaming, I lifted my head to see what was happened, I couldn't really see my vision was blurry a bit. I saw two figures fighting, and another figure limping to me, I saw a black boot. Tanner, I'm saved "H-help T-tanner" I barely managed to get out, my stomach hurt so badly "Shh Mia it's okay I'm here. Me and Jake are here to keep you safe" "C-call 911. I want the police to get him" Then I heard grunting, I looked away from Tanner and saw Leo on the ground, his face was all bloody. I looked up to see Jake standing there with his knuckle split and blood all over his hand. I slowly got up with Tanner's help, and I limped over to Leo and Jake "Mia I'm-" "Don't" I hugged Jake as tightly as I could and whispered in his ear "Thank you!" "Your welcome" I pulled away and looked over at Leo. I limped over and said "You deserve what you got. You no good piece of shit" I kicked him in the side, even though it hurt it felt good to finally give him what he deserved.

Tanner called the cops and they soon came and took Leo away. I hope he is found guilty for what he did before and after our relationship ended. Tanner asked me if I need to go to the hospital for, but I said no my stomach felt better, all I needed was Advil of painkillers for my head. Jake drove me and Tanner home, and as soon as I got into the house I went to Tanner's room and fell onto his bed. He finally walked into his room and he kneeled down so that he was eye level with me "Hey Mia how are feeling?" "Fine, just my head hurts" "Well Jake is going to the pharmacy to get some pain killers for you so don't worry" I looked into his eyes and he looked so guilty. But why. "Tanner are you okay?" "Ya fantastic why wouldn't I be okay. My girlfriend almost got beat to death and I wasn't there to help. So yeah my life is awesome right now!" "Tanner it isn't your fault. He would've hurt you badly. Even worse than me probably. He still wants me, and if he sees you protecting me, he would've known something was up, he could've killed you! So stop feeling guilty because either way the same would've happened but worse" I sat up and winced. Tanner got up and sat on the bed next to me "I'm sorry" "Don't be. Tanner you would've gotten even more hurt than you are now. He probably would've broken your leg all over again. Tanner I don't want you to get hurt again" I put my hand on his, and stared into his eyes, which had tears in him "I love you so much you have no idea" He smiled and I laughed and blushed. He put his hand on my bruised cheek lightly, not wanting to hurt me, he moved his thumb up and down on my cheek and pulled my face to his and kissed me. I started to feel tears as he pulled away "What did I ever do to deserve you" I said "You deserve me, you deserve the whole world baby!" I laughed and a tear fell down my cheek and I hugged him, he hugged me back careful not to hurt me.

Jake came back and I took some Advil to help with the pain in my head. After I took my medicine, I changed out of my clothes and put on my pj's. I looked in the mirror and I saw the bruises and cut on my face, I started to tear up looking at my reflection.

Flashback

I was getting ready for school when I looked in the mirror and saw all my cuts and bruises, that Leo gave me last night. I had to cover them up or else people will start asking questions. Leo would kill me if he found out. I started to tear up as I put my makeup on. I had to put on so much concealer to cover my bruises.

End of flashback

I walked out the bathroom and walked into Tanner's room. He was already laying down with his shirt off, his abs are so hot! "Like what you see" I blushed "Don't worry. Come on sleep, you need it" I smiled and walked over to his bed and laid down. Tanner was stroking his hand on my hair. I started to feel myself drift to sleep and I said "I love you Tanner. Goodnight" He kissed my forehead and said "Goodnight love, I love you too" Then I fell asleep. Safe in Tanner's arms.
