Nevaeh Fox

Mia's POV

The nurses toke our baby girl to get a little check up, and I feel great! Note the sarcasm.

I'm just glad that our baby girl is finally here.

I'm finally back in my room, and I feel so sore, giving birth is hard, and at first, I had no idea why women wanted to do it, but it's worth it. Tanner is sitting next to me, and we're both waiting for our baby. Suddenly, a nurse came in with a small crib with her "Here is your healthy baby girl" She said with a smile. She picked up our baby, and slowly handed her to me, I could feel the tears. She was asleep, but looked so peaceful and beautiful "She's so beautiful" I said. Tanner put down his camera, and stood next to me "Our little girl" I looked up at him, and his eyes are full of tears, as were mine "I can't believe she's here, it seems like yesterday we found out I was pregnant" "Yeah".

A nurse came in after a few minutes with a file "How are you three doing?" "We're doing wonderful" Tanner said smiling "Well, I have her birth certificate here. Your baby girl is 6lb, and 10 ounces. What are you going to name her?" Tanner looked down at me, and nodded his head "Nevaeh Grave Fox" The nurse smiled, and wrote her name down on the certificate "Now, Tanner you need to sign this" Tanner stepped away from me, and took the pen from the nurse. He wrote his signature on the certificate, and sat down next to me "Alright, I'll be back in about 15 minutes to give you guys some time together. Congratulations" She smiled and walked out of the room "Tanner, can you please take a picture for me?" "Of course" He grabbed my phone, and stood in front of me. He snapped a picture, and mumbled "Beautiful" He walks back over to us, and showed me the picture "You're really good at taking pictures, you know that?" "I guess. I sent the picture to me, I'm making it my home screen" Nevaeh started squirming around "Do you want to hold her?" "A million times yes" I slowly passed Nevaeh over to Tanner, and he had the biggest, and most genuine smile on his face. I saw a tear go down his cheek "I can't believe I'm a dad" I chuckled, and started recording him, on his camera.

My phone buzzed, and it was from Instagram "@ tannerfox tagged you in a photo" i unlocked my phone, and looked at the picture. It was the one he took of me and Nevaeh.

"@ tannerfox: Never in my entire life, I've felt this happy. Foxfam, world, family, and friends, I welcome you, Nevaeh Grace Fox, born September 29th 2018, at 8:22 am. 6lbs, 10 ounces. I love my beautiful girls so much"

"Aww" I cooed at Tanner. He smiled at me, and gave me a big hug, careful not to squish Nevaeh "I love my girl from Pluto back" "I think me and Nevae can agree with you" He chuckled and kissed my forehead, then bent down to kiss Nevaeh's tiny little head.

Two days later
Tanner's POV

We are finally home! After three days in that dumb hospital, we're all finally home, safe and sound. Me and Mia walked into Nevaeh's room, and Mia gently put her, in her crib "She's such a good baby" "Shhh" I said putting my head against her hair "Don't jinx it" She laughed, then hugged me "We're finally home" I kissed her cheek and said "We're finally home" She yawned, and put her face against my chest "You should get some sleep momma" I put one arm under her legs, and one arm under her back, and gently picked her. She almost squealed, but covers her mouth, she didn't want to wake Nevaeh. I walked into our room, and laid her on the room "Get some sleep Mia, you need it" She shook her head and said "No I don't" She said mid yawn. I leaned down and kissed her lips "Yes, you do" I laid down next to her, and pulled her closer "Sleep darling"

Me and Mia woke up to Nevaeh's cried. Mia went to get up, but I pushed her back into the bed gently "No, I got this, relax" "You sure?" "Positive" I got off the bed, and ran into Nevaeh's room. Mia fed her not that long ago, so she probably needs her diaper changed. I slowly picked her up from her crib, and swayed side to side, trying to soothe her. Her crying died down, and I set her on the changing table. I in swaddled her, and grabbed other diaper, wiped, and baby powder. I took off her diaper, and threw it in the trash. She started to fuss again, and I put a new diaper on. I tickled her stomach a little "Shhh baby, it's okay, daddy's here, and he won't let anything happen to you, not ever" I swaddled her back into her blanket, and picked her up. I put her against my chest, and rocked back in forth "It's okay. Go to sleep my little angel, I'm right here" I said in a soothing voice "If I had a singing voice like your mother, I could sing to you, but I can't do, I'm sorry" I looked down to her, and she smiled a little, that warmed my heart "Lots of things are going to happen in your life. Good and bad, and I just want to let you know now that I'll always be here for you, no matter what. Even if it's about boys, because trust me, I know ALL about them. Your mother and I love you so much, and we are so happy you're ours. You have an older brother or sister. They're in heaven right now. That's why you're named Nevaeh, it's heaven backwards, and you're our heaven, and Riley will always be with you, no matter what. Riley will protect you, and so will me and your mother. I promise that everyday I'll be around, I'll keep you safe, I'll keep you sounds"
