Our Baby Girl

Mia's POV

Tanner's eyes widened "Are you sure?" I gasped from the sudden pain "Yes I'm very sure!" Tanner's eyes had panic in them "Um okay, okay just calm down a bit, take deep breathes" Hailey came running into the lobby "Guys what's going on?" Tanner held my hand and said "Mia is going in labor" Hailey smiled wide "Oh my god. PEYTON, JAKE PLEASE COME HERE!!" After a few seconds, both Jake, Elissa, and Peyton came running in "What's going on? It everyone okay" "No, Mia is going into labor" "Oh shit" Jake said. Tanner got up, and grabbed both of my hands "Guys we need to get her to the hospital now!" Jake ran over to me and Tanner, and helped him get me up. My knees were wobbly, and I was in so much pain "Guys can we please go!" I said through clenched teeth Tanner put his hand in his pocket, and took something out "Peyton" Peyton turned around, and Tanner through his car keys over to him "Go to my car and pull it in the front. And hurry, but don't hit anything" Peyton nodded and ran outside "Should I tell everyone to leave? I want to come with you guys" I sighed "Hailey- no, stay here, this is your special day. Don't let anyone leave, just continue the party like nothing happened, it's almost over anyways" She came over to me and said "Are you sure" I gave her a sort of pained smile "Yes, now go back inside, I'll be fine" She nodded and ran back into the party room. Elissa came over and said "I'm staying" I smiled at her thankfully. Peyton pulled up in front of the venue, and opened the door. Tanner looked at Jake, and then to me "Alright take it slow, we got you okay babe?" I nodded, and they started walking slowly. I held onto their hand tightly, and ever step I took caused me pain. We finally got to the car, and Tanner helped me in "Alright, Peyton go back to the party, Hailey is waiting for you. Jake and Elissa go into your own car, and follow us. Mia needs space and we can't have anyone in the backseats, got it?" Jake nodded, and ran with Elissa to his BMW. Tanner looked at me, then closed the door. He ran to his side, and jumped into his seat. He put his car in drive, and made sure Jake was behind us, and floored it "Tanner please slow down a bit" I said while groaning. He mumbled a "sorry" and used his free hand to hold mine "I can't believe this is happening" He was smiling "You are actually having our baby, I'm going to be a dad" I gulped and gave him a weak smile "Yeah, but it's going to be hell giving birth" He kissed my hand "Don't worry, I'll be right next to you, I promise I won't faint" I weakly laughed, but then grunted.

We finally got to the hospital, and Jake ran in telling the lady at the desk what was happening. A nurse and some doctors came running out with a wheel chair. Tanner grabbed my hands, and helped me out of the car, I winched. He gently got me into the wheel chair, and I was wheeled into the hospital, with doctors on my tail. This was going to be a long night.

I was in a hospital room, and there were wires attached to me, and my stomach to monitor the baby. My contractions got worse every time, and I can finally have my epidural. Tanner gently sat me up, and held my hand. The nurse put the needle in my back, and I immediately winched. I took a deep breath, and closed my eyes "Its okay, I'm right here, you're doing amazing love" Tanner kissed my forehead, and then the nurse said "Okay, the epidural is in, do you feel better" I smiled and nodded "Alright, Mr.Fox, lay her back down gently" Tanner put his arm behind my back, and gently laid me back down "Okay, I will be back in 10 minutes to check up on the baby, and to see if your close" I nodded and she walked out of the room "Can I lay down next to you?" Tanner asked sweetly. I smiled and nodded, I scooted over a bit so he could have space. He laid down next to me, and started twirled my hair "You're doing so well babe, I'm so proud of you" I gulped "It's not like I can't take pain" I started laughing for no reason "The nurse said you might be a little out of it, it should wear off soon" I laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes "I think I might try to sleep" "Sleep as long as you can, it's already 1 am, you've been in labor for about an hour" I nodded and felt myself, slowly drift to sleep.

I woke up to lots of pain. I opened my eyes and groaned. Tanner held me closer "Deep breathes, remember baby? Take deep breathes" I started tearing up "I can't Tanner, it hurts too much!" I started sobbed "Hey it's okay, I'm right here, I'm not leaving. Just concentrate on me, concentrate on something that makes you happy." I was shaking from my sobs. I started thinking about home, and bringing our baby girl home. I took a deep breath, and stopped crying "Good, you feel better?" "Mmhm"

The nurse came in, and checked if I was dilated enough "Alright Mia, you're 10 centimeter dilated. I'm going to get your doctor, and then you can started pushing" I nodded my head. The nurse ran out of the room, and Tanner was smiling "This is it, you're going to have baby!" I smiled and nodded. The nurse came back in with two other doctors, and some nurses "Alright Mia, you feeling good today? Good enough to have a baby?" I chuckled "Hopefully" "Don't you worry, you're in good hands, as long as you're in mine. Tanner can you put this stuff on please?" He handed Tanner some blue clothing stuff. Tanner nodded, and put on a long blue gown thingy, and put on this weird hairnet thing on me.

"Alright, Mia, started pushing" I grabbed Tanner's hand, and started pushing. The pain was unbearable. I grunted, and stopped pushing. Tanner kissed my forehead, and whispered sweet things into my ear "Good Mia, continue doing that, remember to breath!" I took a deep breath, and pushed again, I squeezed Tanner hand hard, but he didn't seem to care.

This continues for about 8 minutes. The baby was almost out, and I wanted it to stop "Alright Mia, she's almost here, just one more push, you can do it" I was shaking a bit "You can do it Mia, you're strong, you can do this" Tanner whispered in my ear. One more push, one more push. I took a deep breath, and pushed the hardest I could. I screamed a bit, but then felt a wave of relief washed over me. I started to hear a baby's cry. I put my head back into the pillows, and started to breath heavily "Congratulations! You gave birth to a healthy baby girl!" I laughed shakily, and looked at the doctor. He was holding my baby girl in his arms, she was crying, as they cleaned her off. I looked at Tanner, and he had tears in his eyes "You do it, Mia I'm so proud of you"
