Prom part 1

Tanner's POV

Our school is having a winter prom for all juniors. And I want to take Mia, but I have to figure out a way to ask her, I want it to be special! I called Hailey and she is going with Peyton, and Jake is going with his girlfriend. Hailey and Jake said that they will help me find a way to tell her.

After hours and hours of trying to find an idea, I thought of a perfect one.

Okay so what I thought of was that, when she gets home after work I'll say that I'm working for my clothing brand so she'll think that I'm working. I have the extra spare key to her car, so I will get s jar and I will fill it with cards that "Reasons Why I Love You". So I will tell her that I forgot a jar in her car, and that I need it for tomorrow, so she will go to her car and see the jar. And one card will be one tapped to the lip that says "Open Me First". The card says "Hello beautiful! You are probably wondering what is going on. Don't worry. Go to the beach and find Jake, he'll give you another card". When she gets there Jake will be by the pier and when she finds him, he will give her another card that says "Woah! You found Jake! I hope you figured out what this is! Go to our favorite place to hang out!" Which is the pizza parlor. When she gets there Maverick with a pizza box and inside will be another card which says "Mmmmmm I want pizza now! Hope this card smells like it, just don't eat it. It's your ticket to me! Next go to the school. And I know what you are thinking, just do it, it'll be worth it! It's almost over you're so close!" When she gets to the school, she will see the signs which go to the science room. Once she gets there Dylan will be there with a heart shaped ballon and another card which says "Just one more place to go, can't believe you actually stayed to do this, and just didn't leave. Go to the place where we had our first kiss when we were 12" Like I said before, when we kissed in Jersey, that wasn't our first time. When she gets to our spot I will be there I will be wearing a tux, and I will have a rose and a card. I'll give her the card and it'll say "Ya found me! Hope you liked this little scavenger hunt, now it's time for a real question." I will get on one knee and hold out the rose and say "Will you make me the happiest guy in the world, and go to prom with me?" And hopefully she'll say yes.

Today is Friday and prom is Sunday so we have to go to school. Tonight I'm gonna ask her. I'm just waiting for her to get ready so we can go to school. "Hey Mia! You almost ready?" "Yeah!" She came running down the stairs "Your beautiful girlfriend has arrived!" I chuckled "Come on beautiful, let's go to school before we are late!" I grabbed her hand and walked out her house. We got into my car and drove to school. While I was driving I noticed that Mia wasn't talking like she usually does "Hey Mia are you okay?" "Ya" She lied "Is it because you can't do to prom?" I told her I had to work on prom night so I would surprise her "Yeah, I just really wanted to go" "I know, I'm sorry love I wish I could go. Maybe you could go with Dylan?" "What?" "I said maybe you should go with Dylan!" "But, bu-" "I meant as friends Mia, I'm sure he would be happy to take you. He knows how much I want to go with you" "No it's fine, id rather stay home, and wait for you to get back so we could hang out" I just nodded. I'm starting to feel guilty, but I shouldn't. She'll be very happy after I ask her.

We finally got to school and we both walked in hand on hand. While we were walking to science there was a prom proposal happen in the hallway. I could see the look on Mia's face, she looks so upset. I took her hand a led her to the janitors closet. I locked the door and looked at her "Mia, I'm really sorry that I can't go with you, maybe you should go with dylan. His girlfriend can't go, and I hate seeing you so upset" "It won't be the same Tanner, I just wanted to go with you. But Tanner I understand, you have to go to work, it's more important than a stupid dance" "You and I both know it's not a stupid dance to you. When we were little you always talked about going to prom with the perfect guy, and having an amazing time. I want to be that perfect guy. Mia, I'll try my hardest to get out early, and maybe we could get there before it ends, I will try my very hardest" "You don't have to Tanner" I shook my head and took her hand "I will try my hardest to get you to prom" She nodded, I kissed her on the lips and we walked to our class.

Mia's POV, after school

Tanner left for work when I got home. I'm bummed that I may not be able to go to prom with Tanner, but I might just ask Dylan. I'm just watching a movie when I got a text for Tanner.

Hey babe I left a glass jar in your car, I need it for tomorrow, can you please bring it in your house and just leave it in your house. I'll get it when I come back from work.

Yeah sure, of course Tanner!

I got up from the couch and grabbed my jacket and keys. I walked out my house and to my car, I unlocked my car and opened the passenger door and looked inside my car. I saw a bag so I put my hand in it and pulled out something. It was the jar Tanner was talking about, but there was stuff in it. I turned it around and on the jar it said "Things I Love About You" I opened the jar and on the cap of the jar, there was a card tapped to it. I set the jar on the seat and opened the card that said "Open me first!" In it, it said "Hello beautiful! You are probably wondering what is going on. Don't worry. Go to the beach and find Jake, he'll give you another card" Ah Tanner, what is he doing? I put the lid back on the jar and walked to the driver side of my car. I turned my car on and drove to the beach.

Once I got there I started looking for Jake. I walked around for a few minutes, but I finally found him by the pier. I walked over to him and he smiled "Here you go!" He held out a card "What's going on?" "That's for you to know, and for me to not say!" I shook my head and chuckled. I opened the card and it said "Woah! You found Jake! I hope you figured out what this is! Go to our favorite place to hang out!" I said goodbye to Jake and I walked to my car. Our favorite place to hang out was the pizza parlor! I turned on my car and drove to the pizza parlor.

Once I got there I walked inside and saw Maverick. I walked over to him and he had a pizza box. He opened the box and there was a card inside, I grabbed it and opened it "Mmmmmm I want pizza now! Hope this card smells like it, just don't eat it. It's your ticket to me! Next go to the school. And I know what you are thinking, just do it, it'll be worth it! It's almost over you're so close!" What is this boy up to? I got to my car and drove to the school, why was I going to to school? I was literally just here!

I parked my car and walked to the front of the school. On the door there was a sign which said "Go to the science lab!" It was shaped in a heart. I opened the door and walked to the stairs, I walked downstairs and into the science lab. In there I saw Dylan with a heart shaped ballon. I laughed and walked over to him "You guys are all in whatever this is after you?" "Yup all the guys! Trust me, it's worth it" He winked at me. I grabbed the card and read it "Just one more place to go, can't believe you actually stayed to do this, and just didn't leave. Go to the place where we had our first kiss when we were 12" Finally, I want to see him!

I walked out the school and got into my car. The place we had our first kiss..... OUR SPOT! I turned on my car and drove back to the other side of the beach. I quickly got out the car and ran to our spot. Once I got there, I saw Tanner standing there in a tux, with a rose in his hand "Tanner!" I ran to him and hugged me. "Here you go m'lady" He bowed and held out the last card. I took the card and read it out loud "Ya found me! Hope you liked this little scavenger hunt, now it's time for a real question." I looked up to see Tanner on one knee, holding out the rose with one hand, while his other was holding my hand "Mia, I love you so so so so soooooo much, I know you are probably wondering what this is, and no I'm not proposing to you, but it is a different type of proposal. So Mia Marie Lambert, will you make me the happiest guy in the world and go to prom with me?" I got tears in my eyes "Of course I would love to go to prom with you!" He smiled ear to ear and gave me the rose and hugged me tight "Don't you have work on prom night?" "Nope, I lied I wanted to surprise you!" "I love you so much Tanner!" "I love you too!" He pulled back and looked into my eyes "I'm sorry I made you upset before" "That doesn't matter! As long as I'm going with you!" He kissed me on the lips and I said "Promise me prom night will just be about you and me?"
