LA Road Trip

A/N: This takes place about 3 years in the future, so Nevaeh is 6, Ana and Alex are 3, and Mia and Tanner are 26 I believe.

Mia's POV

Today, me, Tanner and the kids are going on a road trip to LA because some of my friends, and Tanner's friends still haven't met Nevaeh, or the twins.

As I was putting snacks and sandwiches into the cooler, Ana and Alex ran right past me giggling "Twins, be careful alright, we don't want anyone getting hurt" Nevaeh walked to the island and sat on one of the chairs "Crazy lunatics" I smiled "Well babe, you were just like them when you were their age" "I was?" She asked while taking a grape "Yes you were, and stop eating those grapes, their for the trip!" Nevaeh laughed and got off the chair "I'm gonna go grab somethings from my room momma" "Okay, oh and can you try and get your siblings upstairs?" Nevaeh nodded and went around the house looking for the twins. Tanner came down the stairs looking all happy "What's got you in such a happy mode?" Tanner walked over to me, and kissed my lips "Well, one I'm going on a small road trip with my family, two I get to see some of my friends that haven't seen me and you in awhile, and three we're staying in LA for a week" I laughed at Tanner's excitement "Well, I can't wait either. Okay, who's trying there, and who's driving back" "I'll drive their, I used to always drive to LA, whether it was for a meeting, or just going to see some friends" I nodded my head "Tanner, can you bring the cooler into the car, and put it where I sit?" "Sure baby" I handed Tanner the blue cooler, and he walked outside and put the cooler in the car.

"Kids come on, we need to leave asap so that we don't hit rush hour traffic!" Nevaeh walked down the stairs with the twins trailing behind her "I thought the point of a road trip is that you spend a lot of time with your family, so wouldn't you want to hit traffic so that you have to talk and stuff?" "You know, for a six year old, you're really smart" Nevaeh smiled and I kissed her forehead. Tanner stood beside me, as I picked up Ana "How is my favorite girl twin?" I tickled her belly, and she laughed adorably "Good mama" Tanner picked up Alex "And how's my favorite boy?" "Awesome Papa" We both put the twins down, and they ran into the car "Alright husband, do we have everything packed in the car" "Well, lets go through the list wife" I grabbed my phone, and went onto the notes app "Okay, suitcases?" Tanner looked in the trunk "Check" "Cooler?" "Check" "Extra toys in case the twins or Nevaeh get bored" "Check" "Movies?" Our car has tv's built into the chairs "Check" "Nevaeh" Tanner picked up Nevaeh and spun her around "Check, wow you're getting heavy, soon enough I won't be able to pick you up" "So then work out at the gym" I butted in, Tanner playfully glared at me "Or I can lift Nevaeh up 10 times a day, she's my personal weight" Nevaeh laughed and kissed his cheek "Can I go in the car now?" Tanner nodded and set her down on the ground "Okay back to the lists, twins?" Tanner looked in the car "Double check" "Directions?" Tanner held up his phone "Check!" "Phone chargers?" "Check mate" I shook my head "Wipes and extra clothes?" Tanner nodded his head "Alright, we got everything, let's hit the road!" Nevaeh and the twins cheered, and me and Tanner got into the car "Okay do you guys want to listen to music, or watch a movie?" At the same time, they all said "Music!!" Tanner looked at me "They got that from you" I laughed and held up my arms like I was surrendering.

We were halfway to LA, and all of the kids were asleep, so it was nice and quiet "Do you miss driving your GTR, or the FRS?" Tanner laughed and held my hand "Sometimes, what about you?" "Well, sometimes it's nice to drive a fast car and such, but since I now have kids, and I've been used to driving regular cars, I guess I don't miss it as much" "You know what I miss about the FRS?" Tanner said smirking "What?" "When I would put you hand on the stick shift, and mine on top of yours, so that it seemed like you were changing gear" I smiled at the memory "That's cute, what do you miss about the GTR?" "The spitting flames!" He said like he was still 17 "You're still the same Tanner you were when you were 17" Tanner grabbed my hand and kissed it "But only better" Tanner put my hand on the gear stick, and put his on top of mine "Only 20 minutes to go"

We pulled up to the parking garage of one of Tanner's friends "Yo Lance, we're here" Tanner said smiling "Awesome man, we'll be down in a bit" "Great see ya soon" We all got out of the car, and I helped the twins out of their car seat "Mommy, why are we here?" Ana asked while clinging to my leg "To see one of daddy's friends baby" I put her up, while Tanner held Alex. I put my free hand out for Nevaeh to grab it "What are they names?" Alex asked "Their names are Lance and Lizzy" Tanner answered, and right on cue Lance and Lizzy walked into the parking garage "Tanner!" Lance said while walking up to Tanner "Hey man, how's it going?" Lance and Tanner did their 'man handshake' "Great man, how about you?" "It's been hectic lately, but it's been good" Lizzy walked up to me "I haven't seen you in forever, how are the kids doing?" "Awesome, Ana, Nevaeh this is Lizzy, she's one of mommy's good friends" Nevaeh walked up to Lizzy and gave her a hug "Hi Lizzy!" She said all excited, but Ana just stayed in my arms with her head hidden in my hair "Ana is a bit shy, but she'll warm up to you" Lizzy smiled "That's fine, at least I have one that's all excited" Lizzie picked up Nevaeh and held her at her hip "How are you and Lance?" I said smiling "Great, I love him so much" "Same goes with Tanner" "Alright, how about we all go up to our apartment and hang out?" Lance asked. We all agreed and and followed Lance and Lizzy. This road trip should be fun.
