You're Alive?

Mia's POV

You wanna know why I love weekends.

1.Because no school

2. Because I get to spend time with my lovely boyfriend Tanner.

I know what y'all are thinking. Well Mia why can't you just hang out with him during the week? Well to answer your question, we are always busy during the week with work, school, making videos and just a bunch of stuff. But when it's the weekend we get to put most of that stuff aside and just be with each other.

And that my friends is why I love weekends. Tonight Tanner wants to take me out. I think it's a date, but we all know how our last date went. I don't know what we are going to do but it will definitely be fun quoting Tanner. Everyday I fall more in love with him!😍. He's so sweet and caring.

"Mia?!" Tanner shouted from the bathroom "Ya!?" I said walking over to the bathroom "I need your help. The door is open" I opened it and I see Tanner panicking "Tanner? Are you okay?" "I-i was just getting r-ready and my wrists started bleeding" I removed a towel on his wrists, and there was smeared blood all over them "Omg. Don't worry it happens sometimes. Sit on the toilet" He followed my instructions and sat on the toilet, I went into the medicine cabinet and I got bandaids, hydrogen peroxide, and some cotton balls. I put some hydrogen peroxide on the cotton ball and walked over to Tanner "This will sting so just bare with it" He nodded and grabbed my hand. I placed the cotton ball on his wrist and he winched and pulled his arm back "Tanner give me your arm and stop being a wuss" "Sorry" he said laughing nervously "Don't worry. It'll get better in time" I dabbed the cotton ball and his wrist. After that I grabbed a bandaid and placed it gently on his wrist so that I wouldn't hurt him "There. All better" "Thank you Mia" We both stood up, and he grabbed me by the waist, and pulled me against him and kissed me. I kissed him back, I pulled away and said "This is why I love the weekend!" I said. He laughed and kissed me on the forehead "Me too".

"I have to go to the store to get some snacks. I'll be right back" "You sure you don't want me to come with you?" "Tanner don't worry. There is nothing or no one that can hurt me anymore. I'll be fine" I said putting my arms around his neck "I know. I just want you to be safe. I love you" "And that's why I love you. I'll be right back. I promise!" "Okay I believe you. See you soon" "Bye!" I kissed him on the lips, then left.

I drove to a convenient store to get some junk food. Me and Tanner were going to watch a movie. While I was looking at types of candy I saw a familiar women. She had long brown hair, blue eyes, wrinkles on her face. Then I felt a pit in my stomach.

That's my step mom.

Is she actually alive? I haven't seen her since she left my dad, and that was 10 years ago. She left me with that monster. How could I forgive her? I looked away and put my hood over my face, just in case she sees me. I grabbed a bunch of candy, popcorn, marshmallows, soda cans, and a bunch of other junk food and paid for it. As soon as I got the bags I sped walked to my car, and floored it all the way home.

What about my brother?

Well he isn't blood, but he felt like he was my actual brother. So was my step mom, she treated me like her own. She never told me why she didn't take me.

When I got back to my house and I walked into the house, and was immediately greeted by Tanner. He hugged me so tight and I couldn't breathe "Tanner can't breathe" "Sorry" He let go "What was that about?" "I just missed you" He said pouting. I laughed and said "Aw. You're so adorable when your clingy" "Hey I am not clingy!" "Okay whatever you say" I said laughing and walked into the kitchen, putting the bags down. I started thinking about my mother and I didn't hear Tanner calling my name until he walked up to me, and waved his hand in front of my face "Hello? Anyone in there?" "Yeah. I'm fine" "I know you're lying" I looked at him with tears in my eyes "I think I saw my step mother at the store" He liking my eyes with an apologetic look "Your step mom? I didn't even think she was alive" "Well surprise, she is. And she didn't tell me" I said looking down, taking stuff out of the bags "Hey look at me" He put his index finger on my chin, and pulled my head up so I was looking at him "It'll he ok. Maybe she's back to find you. Why else would she be here?" "I don't know" A tear fell down my cheek "Hey come here" He pulled my arm and hugged me. I cried into his shoulder "S-she left m-me and and I don't know w-why!" "I think I have an idea why" "What is it?" "Maybe she left because she couldn't afford taking care of two kids. I mean think about it. Leaving without being found, you're gonna use a lot of money. And taking care of two kids can take a lot of that" I sniffled and looked up at him "Ya I guess" "Hey let's not think about it too much, let's have a fun night. Just the two of us, no drama" I smiled "I like the sound of that" I kissed him on the lips.

The whole night consisted of laughing, junk food, cool movies, kissing, talking, and most of all, a good time. He actually made me forget about my mother. He has that affect on me. That's why I love him.
