Do What The Doctor Says

Mia's POV

Yesterday, me and Tanner found out that we were going to have a baby, so before I went to sleep, I schedule an appointment as a clinic not to far from where we live. I just want to be sure that everything will be okay, and the pregnancy will go smoothly, I don't want anything to happen to this baby.

I woke to an unpleasant amount of light shining in my eyes. I put my hand over my eyes, and shirted to the other side of the bed "Wake up babe!" "Why did you have to wake me up like that?" "I couldn't think of any other way" I turned around to face him "You could've just shook me a bit and softly said "Wake up" It's that easy" He just shrugged "Because you're pregnant, does that make your emotions a bit heightened?" "Yes why?" "Because normally you wouldn't be so mad at me by the way I just woke you up" "Plan it on the baby, no me!" I put my hands up like I was surrendering "Don't worry, I can handle you, I know even though it seems like you hate me, you really love me" I got up and walked over to him. I put my arms around his neck and said "You're the best husband in the world" He smiled and kissed my lips "You should get ready, we have an appointment to go to" "Wait, you're coming with me?" "Why wouldn't I? Won't you be getting an ultrasound? We will get to see our little baby fox for the first time" I smiled and hugged him "Okay, I'll go get ready" I pulled away and walked into the bathroom.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth, my hair, put on some clothes, and a little makeup, and I was done. I walked into the living room to see Tanner watching tv "You ready?" He looked away from the tv and nodded his head. He turned off the tv, and walked up to me "Who's car are we taking?" "Mine! I haven't driven it in awhile, I missed my baby" He laughed and grabbed my hand, we both walked to the garage. I opened the car door, and got in, god I've missed my car. I started her up, and the sound of the engine roared and echoed in the garage "We should've opened the garage before I started the car" I said whole covering my ears. Tanner nodded and opened the garage door. He got in, and I reversed out of the garage, and into the street.

We finally got to the clinic, and right on time. We got inside, and the nurse took us into a room, immediately. We waited a couple minutes before she came back in with a folder "So Mia, who is everything going?" She asked with a smile "Well, me and Tanner recently got married, and on our last day of our honeymoon, we tried for a baby, and yesterday I wasn't feeling well, so Tanner got me a pregnancy test just to be sure, and it came out positive" She smiled and clapped her hands "That's wonderful! Well I'm going to ask you some questions about the baby, and you. So first off have you had any morning sickness yet?" "Yes, last night I threw up after dinner" "Okay, that's perfectly normal, especially in your early ages of pregnancy. Okay so how long has it been since your last day or your honeymoon?" "About three or four weeks" She nodded her head, and wrote something down on a piece of baby "Okay, have you had any pain in your abdominal area?" "A little bit, but it goes away quickly" "And when was your surgery?" "About a few months ago" She nodded and closed the folder "Okay Mia, can you please lay down on the chair and pulled up your shirt?" I followed her instructions and laid down. I pulled up my black shirt, revealing my stomach. There wasn't a bump yet, too early "Okay, so I'm going to put some cream on your stomach, it's going to be cold at first, but you'll get used to it" She took out a bottle, and squeezed some cream on my stomach. She was right, it was really cold, it made me flinch a little. She put the bottle away, and took out this weird thing "Okay, so this device will let us see your baby" She put the device on my stomach, and started to move it around ok circles, to move the cream around my stomach. She turned on a monitor, and it was black and white. She moved down, so it was close to my pants. She stopped moving it, and started typing something on a keyboard. Tanner held my hand, and kissed it, we both looked at the screen. She moved it a little, and we started to see something, it looked like a bean. She stopped moving the device and said "That's your baby, and he or she looks perfectly fine" I started crying tears of joy, and Tanner had some tears in his eyes too. She took the device off my stomach, and cleaned the cream off "I'm going to print out the picture of your ultrasound, and then talk to you both about things you should do" We both nodded our heads, and she walked out of the room "That was-" "Amazing?" Tanner said cutting me off, I nodded my head. He kissed my forehead, and wiped the tears that were on my face "The baby's okay!" I laughed and hugged him.

They're okay!

We finally got home from the clinic, and I was staring at the picture of the baby. It's so small! Tanner came in the room, and laid down next to me. He put his hand on my stomach and said "Hey baby fox, I hope you're okay in there. I just want to tell you that mommy and daddy love you very much, and we can't wait to see you and meet you. You are going to be bombarded with a bunch of kisses. You're going to meet some awesome friends of ours, and they'll love you. I love you so much baby Fox" I laughed because it rhymed. I teared up a bit, stupid hormones. Tanner looked up at me, and saw me teared up "Aw, I didn't mean to make you cry" "No, it's just my stupid hormones. Tanner that was adorable" He smiled "I try" He got up and sat next to me. I put my head on his shoulder and sighed "I love you" "I love you too"
