13 years later (Alex and Ana are 16, and Nevaeh is 19)
Mia's POV

I can't believe that my little girl is going to college, and to Stanford!

We are helping Nevaeh get all of her things packed, she's leaving tomorrow. As I was taping one of the boxes, I heard Alex and Ana fighting. They've been fighting for the past week. I sighed, and walked out of Nevaeh's room, and into Alex's room "Hey, hey! Stop fighting for gods sake!" I yelled at them. They stopped fighting, and Ana crossed her arms "Okay, what is going on with you two?! You've been fighting none stop for the past week, and I'm getting sick of it! You two are sibling, hell you're twins, start acting like you can tolerate each other, and that you aren't 5 year olds!" Alex was looking at his shoes, and Ana was giving him the death glare. I sighed, and rubbed my temples "Okay, can one of you please tell me why you're fighting?" Alex looked up, and then looked at Ana "Oh, I see what this is, you guys used to do this all the time whenever you got in trouble, it's that twin thing, alright who did what?" Ana decided to speak up "It's nothing mom, we're just arguing like how siblings do sometimes" "Okay, I know I didn't have any siblings other than my younger step brother, but I have had friends that had many siblings, and they never acted like the way you two do, so this isn't just an argument, something is going on, and I need you guys to tell me" Alex stood up "Ana doesn't want Nevaeh to leave, but I'm trying to tell her that this is what Nevaeh wants and that she should respect that, but she's being a brat and not listen me" "I am not being a brat! I am being reasonable!! Nevaeh is the closest girl I've ever known, she's like my best friend, and now she's leaving, going, she's moving to a dorm, and she won't be coming back for a long time" I sighed once again, and walked over to Ana. I pulled her into a hug "You want her to be happy right?" "Of course I do" "Well, going to Stanford is going to make her happy, you know that she's been dreaming to go to Stanford ever since she's known what college was!" Ana laughed and pulled away "Okay, I guess I was over reacting a bit" Alex scoffed "A bit? Ana you almost slapped me because you disagreed with me!" Ana chuckled slightly "Sorry about that" Alex nodded but then looked down, and Ana's smile disappeared "What? I thought everything was resolved" I looked down at Alex, and I saw his hands starting to shake "I think Alex needs to tell you something mom" Ana said while walking out of the room. I sat down on Alex's bed, and put my arm around his shoulder "Is there something you need to tell me bud? You know if anything's bothering you, you can tell me" Alex took a big gulp, and he looked up at me, and his eyes were bloodshot "M-mom" He put his head on my shoulder and started crying "Oh, babe what's wrong, you can tell me" Alex shook his head "I-I don't think I c-can" "Tell me what you're feeling" Alex took a deep breath, and pulled away from me "Im scared, nervous, confused, I don't even know anymore mom" "Is there anything I can do to help?" Alex gulped "Can you sing to me? That always helps me calm down" "Of course, what do you want me to sing?" "You know what song I really love?" "What?" "Talk Me Down by Troye Sivan" I laughed "I've taught you well my son"

"Mom, I think I'm ready to tell you" Alex said looking into my eyes "Okay, lay it on me"

"Mom, I'm gay"

I looked at him in shock "That's all? Sweetheart you made it seem like you killed somebody!" Alex looks shocked too "That's your response? Mom did you hear my correctly! I'm gay" I laughed "Of course I heard you, and I'd rather you be gay, then have you kill somebody" Alex sighed, but then quickly frowned "How am I suppose to tell dad and Nevaeh?" "Honey, I'm sure your father won't care, I mean as long as you're healthy and living, I'm sure he'll live, and I know he'll be okay with this, especially Nevaeh, she does have friends that are like you" Alex laughed "Well let's go tell them" We both got up, but I stopped him before we walked away "So how long has Ana known this?" "About a week" I laughed "Let's go"

As we got to the living room where everyone was hanging out, Alex said "Hey guys, I need to tell you something" Tanner and Nevaeh turned to Alex "Alright, what's up?" Tanner asked "I'm gay" Nevaeh immediately stood up and pointed at him "I knew it!!! I knew one of us would be!" She yelled and Tanner just laughed "Okay, thanks for telling us" Alex just sighed and walked up the stairs.
