Finding Out

Tanner's POV (finally)

After finishing my video, I drove to Mia's house because I missed her. Once I got home, Mia seemed surprised I was home. Probably didn't think I was coming back to early.

After saying "hello" I went upstairs to change. I didn't have any clean shirts, but I do know she probably has one of my shirts in her dresser. I know I should ask her but I got a whole bunch of crap on my shirt, and I need to change. I started looking through her dresser till I felt something weird, so I grabbed it and pulled it out.

I wish I didn't.

At the bottom of her dresser, there were two pregnancy tests. Both positive. "Is she really pregnant?" Oh god. I ran into the bathroom and just sat on the toilet thinking.

While I was thinking, I heard Mia walk into her room and things being thrown on the floor. I walked out the bathroom, and stood in the doorway of her room, with the tests behind my back "What are you looking for?" "Ummm" She's trying to find an excuse "Hailey left some of her clothes in my dresser when she was staying here, so I'm just looking for them" I just shook my head "I know you're lying" All the color drained out of her face "You were looking for these" I held out my hand which had the tests in them "When were you going to tell me?" I don't think she was, she wouldn't have hid them from me. She was speechless, she opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out. She was shaking "Were you not going to tell me at all?" She shook her head. Something is wrong with her. Does she think I'm going to do something to her? Like what her dad did? She put her hand on the dresser and said "Tanner" "Mia?" I said back. She then screamed in pain and gripped her chest. She was about to fall, but I caught her in time "Mia what's happening? Are you okay" "No!" She croaked back, she also began crying because of the pain. What you are doing Tanner? Get her to the hospital! "Mia I'm going to take you to the hospital! Hold on! Okay baby?" I picked her up and ran out the house and put her in my car. I ran back inside to get my phone. Once I got back in the car, she was looking down and all emotion drained from her face.

There was blood all over her pants. She's having a miscarriage.

Mia's POV

I'm having a miscarriage. I started breathing heavily "Mia? Hey look at me. Calm down. I'm taking you to the hospital" Tanner said. He grabbed my hand, and I said "Tanner" I started to feel dizzy "I think I'm gonna pass out" He started the car and drove as fast as he could.

I started to feel my eye lids get heavier. Then next thing I knew it, I was asleep.

Tanner's POV

She passed out before I got to the hospital. Once I got there, I picked her up and ran into the hospital. Now we are boyfriend and girlfriend, and she's having a miscarriage. "HELP. CAN SOME ONE HELP MY GIRLFRIEND!? I THINK SHE HAD A MISCARRIAGE" A bunch of doctors came running in with a bed. I gently put down her body on the bed an they took her away, while one of the doctors asked me what happened "What exactly happened to her" "Um. She's pregnant, and I found out before she could tell me, and while I was talking to her she started to shake. Then she grabbed the dresser to keep her from falling. She screamed in pain and gripped her stomach. Before she fell to the ground I caught her and took her to the car, I went inside to get my phone and when I came back there was blood all over her pants" The doctor just nodded. "You are her boyfriend right?" "Yes sir" "Well I will do my best to find out what happened and help her, but I think you and I have an idea what happened" I started to feel the tears in my eyes "Yes" He patted my shoulder and walked away. I went into a bathroom and locked the door. I leaned against it and slowly slid down it. I put my head in my arms, knees to my chest.

And cried.

I cried my heart out.

Our child. Our child we created together.

Is dead.

Oh god. Mia passed out. She doesn't know what happened. How is she going to react? She's going to be heartbroken. She probably thinks I hate her.

My phone started ringing, so I checked it and the caller I.D was Hailey. I answered it.

Hey Tanner! Whats up? I'm at Mia's house. Do you know where she is?

Ummm.

Tanner? What's going on? Are you okay?

Um I'm at the hospital with Mia. She umm, she

What happened Tanner?

I found out she was pregnant, and I told her. While I was talking to her she. Something happened and I think she....

Think she what?

Had a miscarriage.

Oh my god..... I'm coming to the hospital right now. I'll be there soon.

Bye Hailey.

I hung up the phone, and exited the bathroom. I stayed in the waiting room, waiting for Hailey. Once she got here, she slowly walked over to me and said "Do you know what happened" I shook my head and started to cry. She came over to me and hugged me. I hugged her back tighter and cried into her shoulder "I'm so sorry Tanner"

Me and Hailey just sat in silence while we waited for the doctor. What seemed like forever, the doctor finally came in and me and Hailey got up immediately got up and walked to him. He looked at me with sad eyes and said "I'm sorry about your child Mr. Fox. She had a miscarriage, it didn't have to do with stress or anything like that, something happened to her body and her body rejected the baby. I'm very sorry sir. She's asleep right now, but I suggest just one person stay with her, then more people can come"

The doctor showed me to her room. I was going to go on first while Hailey tells mine and her mom what's going on. I opened the door to her room, and the doctor left to give us privacy. I gently held her hand like she was made of glass.

It always seems like we are in a hospital. It's like our second home, we've been her so many times. I feel horrible inside. I'm not leaving her. Never in a million years, I love her too much. We've had some many bumps in our relationship, but I think this one might be our biggest. For fucks sake she was pregnant and had a miscarriage! "I'm so sorry Mia" I put my head on her bed and cried.

Mia's POV

"I'm so sorry Mia" Why is he sorry? No. I had a miscarriage didn't I?

I slowly opened my eyes and said "Tanner" He looked up, his eyes were red and puffy. He got up and hugged me tight. He knows that he doesn't have to tell me what happened. I already know.

I have no emotion
