Loopy

Tanner's POV

Mia got out of surgery just an hour ago, and they said that it might be awhile till she wakes up. The surgery was successful also so that's good. They also said she might be a little bit out of it, or loopy and she might say things that don't make sense, so this should be fun. Her aunt and uncle just left, they said they needed to get back to their jobs and they asked me to stay with her, she I gladly excepted.

A few minutes later

I started hearing Mia move so I looked back at her and she was awake, I smiled "Hey beautiful, how are you feeling?" "I feel, I feel like I'm floating on a cloud" She moves her arms around like she was flying, I couldn't help but laugh "Really?" She nodded many times "Well your surgery was successful, you no longer have an appendix" Her face dropped "I-I dont- no- I don't have an appendix?" She seemed worried "Baby don't worry, you don't need it!" "Am I going to die?!" I was trying to hard not to laugh "No, no you aren't going to die, you're perfectly healthy. If you were dying, I would be crying" She smiled "And that's why I love you!" She looked down at her hand and had a confused look on her face "What's this?" She held up her left hand, and pointed to the ring on her finger. I chuckled "That's your engagement ring, I gave it to you" "Woah, I'm getting married! When?" "Mia we just got engaged not even a month ago, and we are only 17, we have to wait till we're adults to get married" "Then why are we engaged if we aren't even adults?" "Well because we both feel that we love each other so much, and that we've been through so much, that we should be together forever" "Like a fairy tale?!" She asked all excited "Yes like a fairy tale" "Wow, I can't believe I'm getting married. And to you!" "What do you mean to you?" "I mean like you are so hot, and caring, you just seem like the perfect guy. How did you stay with me?" "We've been through a lot Mia, a lot of rough patches, and that's when you needed me the most and I promised you I'd stay and I'm not breaking that promise, not ever. You are the love of my life and I can't let you go" She smiled "Wow, you really are the perfect guy" I laughed "I sure hope so" She laughed then yawned "I'm tired, I think I want to sleep" "Okay well get your rest, I'll go to the cafeteria or something to get food" I got up to go to the cafeteria, but Mia grabbed my hand "No, can you please stay with me, I don't want to be alone" I smiled at her "Of course" "Yay!" She moves over so I could fit. I laid down next to her and wrapped my arms carefully around her body. Her back to me to, so I rested my head by her neck. I picked my head up and whispered in her ear "Sweet dreams my love" she giggled. Her laugh is so cute, and she's especially cute when she's loopy.

A few days later
Mia's POV

I've been home for about 3 days and I'm bored. I want fresh air. Also my birthday is in 4 more days! "Tanner I want to get fresh air, want to come with?" "Ya, where are we going?" "To the beach? I don't know I'm not going in the water, I just want to get fresh air" He smiled "That's fine with me!" He walked down the stairs and grabbed his wallet and phone, and I grabbed my phone, my camera, and my sketch book because why not? "Why are you bringing your sketchbook?" "I want to draw something, I've become good at it, and I feel like if I go to the beach then I'll find something cool to draw" "Okay, let's go" He grabbed my hand and we left my house.

We got to the beach and I'm sitting at our rock, while Tanner is walked around. I was looking for something to draw, when I saw the perfect thing. A women playing with her son in the water. That's so adorable! I can wait till that's me. I grabbed my pencil and started drawing the women then the boy. Once i finished them I started drawing the sea, and the sunset behind it. I drew rocks too, to make it seem more realistic. I kept looking back and forth at the women and boy so many times that me neck was hurting. So I thought why don't I take a picture of it. I grabbed my camera and zoomed in on the lady and boy. I got a good angle and snapped the picture. I looked at the picture and I noticed something. The boy in the picture, he looks familiar. I put my stuff on the rock and I walked closer to the women and boy. Once I got a good look, I knew who it was. It was my step brother, Danny, and my step mom Mary. It's them, it's really them. Danny was only a baby when they left, so he must be like 10 or 9. God I miss them, I really do, but I don't know if I can forgive Mary for leaving me with my dad. Tanner walked over to me and said "Whatca lookin' at?" I turned to him and whispered in his ear "My step mom and step brother" I pulled back to look at his face. It was blank "Do you want to leave?" I thought about it, I really want to see them, I want to know what I missed "No, I want to talk to them" Tanner nodded and grabbed my hand, and we started walking to Mary and Danny. When we got close to them, they noticed us and Mary stopped was she was doing and looked at me "Mia? Is that you?" My breathe hitched, and I managed to nod "Momma, who's Mia?" She turned to him and said "Mia was your step sister, but you were far too young to remember her" "She's very pretty" He said to Mary, I smiled "Indeed she is" She looked back at me and said "Is it okay if I hug you?" "Why wouldn't it be?" I let go of Tanner's hand and walked over to her. She engulfed me in a big hug, and Danny came over and hugged my legs. I laughed and left go of Mary and kneeled down to Danny and gave him a hug. He broke the hug and I stood next to Tanner "And from my knowledge, you're Tanner right? Mia's best friend?" I laughed "Um yes I'm Tanner, but I'm not her best friend anymore" "Well than what are you?" I spoke up "He is my fiancé" She looked shocked "You're getting married?" "Well we will, but we've only been engaged for two weeks, and we have to wait till we are adults to get married" She nodded "I missed you so much Mia" "I missed you guys too"
