It was easy to say that to say that on days like this, you absolutely despised being an actress. Most of the time it was absolutely amazing; being part of press conferences, joking around on set, attending awards shows. However, every now and then you would come across a downside to the job. And unfortunately for you, this was one of those times.
The kissing scene.

Although you had filmed quite a number in the past, it didn't stop the butterflies from plaguing you for telling days leading up till the event. In the time you had spent on the set of your latest project, Spiderman Homecoming, you had grown to be close friends with your co-star, Tom Holland. Who, it just so happened, was the person you had to film the dreaded scene with. And you were worried that once the scene was over, things between you and your friend would become quite awkward.

Which was the reason why you now sitting alone in your trailer, your heart pounding as you waited for the call to get into place for filming. Every second that ticked by seemed like an age and you could feel nervous sweat building up on your body. Why did it always have to be so damn nerve-wracking?

"Y/N? It's time."

You jumped as one of the crew members stuck her head round the door.
"You ready?"

Nodding hurriedly, you got to your feet, self consciously wiping your hands of the legs of your jeans.

"I think so."

The crew members gave you a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry. You'll do great."

You bit your lip as you stepped out of your trailer and into the Atlanta sun.
"I sure hope so."

"And...action!"

You stood opposite Tom, barely an inch away from him. It was a few hours later and, honestly, things had gone a lot smoother than you had expected. Tom had been making jokes almost the entire time you were on-set and it had really helped you settle down and actually remember that this was what you loved to do. After filming the last half of the scene, Jon the directer had pulled both Tom and you aside to explain that if you weren't comfortable with doing a proper kiss, the arrangement could be changed. But neither of you had back out and so then you had started working on that portion of the scene. There had been three takes already because neither of you could keep a straight face and you had yet to actually kiss on camera. This was now your fourth take and you had vowed to yourself to finally get this over with.

Staring up at Tom, you took a slow breath, insantly getting deep into the mindset of your character.

"I worry about you, Peter," you started, reciting the lines you had practiced so many times. "I'm worried that one day you're not going to come back."

Tom gave a small smile and reached up to push a strand of your hair out of your face.

"You don't need to worry about me, Y/C/N. I'm not a weak little boy anymore."

You gave a small smile and leaned your forehead against Tom's.
"I'm not so such about that."

Tom shook his head, grinning. "Oh, shut up," he mumbled quietly before his lips met yours.

You could almost feel the chemistry yourself. As you pulled Tom closer to you, your arms wrapping about round his neck, you could feel the sparks in the pit of your stomach.

Breaking away, you looked up into Tom's eyes.
"Just promise you'll always come back."

"I promise."

You nodded and closed your eyes as Tom enveloped your in a hug. Leaning your head on his shoulder, you let out a long sigh and closed your eyes.

" ... and cut!"

There was a snap and then the director was walking across the set towards you, a beaming smile on his face. Tom gently let go of you and you took a step back from him, a light blush tinting your cheeks.

"Well done, both of you!" grinned Jon when he reached you. "That was brilliant! So much chemistry. I thought that we'd be doing another take after this but after seeing that ... I don't think we need one."
He clapped Tom on the shoulder happily.

"Take five and then we can start working on the next bit of the scene. You guys were brilliant!"

Turning, he strolled away from you. You glanced up at Tom and he raised a single eyebrow back at you, causing a smile to appear on your face.
"What?" you giggled as the pair of you began to move off the set.

"Nothing," he replied, "I just never knew you could kiss like that."

You blushed bright pink and looked down at your feet, biting your lip. Tom chuckled.
"I mean, damn, Y/N."

You shoved his shoulder lightly, smiling in embarrassment. "Stop."

"Stop what?" teased Tom. "Stop saying that you're a good kisser?"

You nodded, turning an ever deeper shade of red. Tom shook his head.
"No can do, princess, coz it's true."

"Oh shut up!"

Tom grinned, poking your cheek. You slapped his hand away, giggling.

"You are such are moron, Holland."

"Yep. A moron who just kissed you."

You shook your head at him, turning away.
"Why am I friends with you?"

"Because you have no one better to hang out with."

"Gee, thanks."

"I try."
