The next morning was a blur. The girls told me what Simon had said last night, and I couldn't believe my ears. I'm in the band! I'm going to be performing with my girlfriend for who knows how long! All my family's financial problems would be solved; we were going on vacation to Jade's bungalow for two weeks. I couldn't wait! But for now, I had to catch my plane back to Bradenton. I didn't feel like driving for hours. Since my flight doesn't leave until later, I was riding with the girls to the airport to say goodbye. Jade wouldn't let me out of her sight – not that I minded.
"EVERYONE IN THE CAR!" Jesy shouts from the front of the bus. I smile, remembering my mother saying those exact same words the day we left for Orlando. That day seems so distant, like a fading memory of my old life. I sighed. I looked down at my blue jeans. Topped off with a white singlet top, a blue beanie and white converse, I was comfortable. I would swap converse with heels any day.
"Ready, Baba?" Jade asked me, wrapping an arm around my waist. I smiled and nodded.
"Ready, Baba!" I repeated. She chuckled and led me into a black SUV. I sat on her lap in the back, sneaking kisses the whole way there.

"Flight 203 to London is now boarding."
"That's our cue," Leigh says. I sniffle, trying to hold back my tears. I'm going to miss my girls. I hugged Jesy first.
"See you soon," she said. I could only nod my head, tears already dangerously close to spilling over. Next was Leigh, who smiled sadly before pulling me in for a fierce hug.
"You're family now," she whispered. I hugged her tighter.
"Take care of her for me, okay? And thank you for everything," I rushed. She nodded and squeezed me before letting me go. I felt a tear slip off the end of my nose. I slowly turned to face Jade, who looked like she was trying not to cry either. I tackled her, almost knocking both of us over in the process. We laughed a bit at that, before returning to our previously grieving faces. I stood there, arms wrapped around her neck. I kissed her neck gently, whimpering a little before finally giving up and letting the tears fall freely.
"I'll see you in a month, okay? I'll call, text, anything," she mumbled, stroking my hair. I nodded, pulling away slightly so I could peck her nose.
"I love you," she said, staring into my eyes. My vision got blurry.
"I love you too," I said, before burying my face into her shoulder again. She hugged me tighter, and I never wanted to move from this spot. Leigh cleared her throat.
"I'm sorry guys, but we've gotta go if we're gonna make it in time," she said. I sighed, pulling away. I met her eyes one last time before crashing my lips to hers. She held my face in her hands and we kept kissing until Leigh coughed again. I was too sad to blush. I just hugged her one last time before nudging her in the girls' direction. She started to walk away. Just before she disappeared into the terminal, she turned to wave one last time. I blew her a kiss and she pretended to catch it.
Just one month, and you'll be back in her arms.

I pulled up to my house. My flight had been fairly short, I hadn't even slept yet. I knocked on the door and it was immediately thrown open by a frazzled looking Caitlin.
"Thank God you're here; I have no clue where you keep the Band-Aids, and Addy's got a cut on her finger." I smiled and shook my head, walking into the kitchen. Mum's job had allowed her to afford a two bedroom apartment. My first pay check is going to go towards a house for us.
