                ~ Last day before tour

Oh.

My.

Gawd.

I am exhausted.

People have been in and out of the house like bees, preparing. Aimee (my stylist, remember?) was here yesterday, planning my make-up and hair for the tour. Sam is practically living here, always on her phone. I've spoken to Simon at least three times, and all there were on what I should and shouldn't do in public - especially with Jade. Everyone's been doing that lately. Throwing random bits of advice in my face and hoping they stick.

I got a new bodyguard - Phillip. Sound familiar? Yeah, that's 'cause it's the same Phillip that took care of Bella the night of my first performance. Nice guy.

Jad has been my rock these past few days; taking care of my messages, replying to fans on Twitter, handling calls from my mother. The only thing I will not let anybody help me take care of is Jade.

"You okay, baba?" Jade asks, squeezing my hand. We finally got some alone time. Jesy opted to take everyone to the local carnival, but Jade and I voted out, staying home and relaxing together. We were both pretty frazzled. Simon had told Jade the day after the doctor's visit that if she didn't get out of bed and walk, he was going to cancel the tour. We didn't want to risk it, so little by little I made her walk around the bedroom. Now she could get up and sit without my help, but not for long periods of time. She still had the nightmares, but they were less frequent.

"Yeah. Just exhausted," I say, laying my head on her shoulder. We're on the couch, watching some cooking show. Both our feet were propped on the coffee table, our legs tangled together.

"You should sleep." She leans over to kiss my nose.

"Nope. This is probably the only breather I'll get for the next three months and I want to spend it with you."

"That's sweet. But if you're tired, rest."

"I can rest on the plane. Which reminds me. I've got to pack your compresses, heating pads and your pain meds into my duffle."

She shakes her head. "I can do that."

"No way. I know you're mad at Simon for making you get up and move, so I'm not going to put you through it."

"I'm fine. Stop worrying over me."

"No, you're not. You're still in pain, I can see it. Just let me take care of you,@

"NO, PERRIE! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" she screams. I flinch away.

"I'm sorry?" I offer, confused.

"I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO TAKE CARE OF YOU!" She glares at me.

"You lost me.""

She groans, looking at the ceiling. "I AM FIME! I'M A GODDAMN ADULT! STOP TREATING ME LIKE A FUCKING CHILD!"

I stand up, yanking away from her grasp. "Jade Amelia Thirlwall, don't even try to tell me that you're not still in pain, because I can see it on your dace every time you have to move! And don't you dare say that I'm babying you when I just love you so much and I hate that you're in pain and it's because of me!" I can deel the tears prick in my eyes.

"IT'S NOT YOUR GODDAMNED FAULT!" she screams up at me, too weak to move. "STOP BLAMING YOURSELF!"

"I'm sorry, but I disagree. I'm sorry that I'm just trying to help. I'm sorry that I love you, okay? If you say you're an adult, then fine. I'll treat you like one. Goodnight." I turn on my heel, too proud to let her see me cry.
