Ch. 61 Not Today, Lesy

~ Two Days Later ~

{ P E R R I E }

"Jade, can you pass me my cell phone? I need to check up on Katherine."

She nodded and leaned over the couch to pass me my purse. "We're an hour away from Sacramento," she informed me, typing away, probably texting her mum.

"Okay, let me know when we get there. I'm gonna call Katherine, then take a nap." 

She furrowed her brows. "Want me to come?"

I chuckled and kissed her cheek, lifting my head off her lap. "That's okay. Keep an eye on Jamie for Alexis, will ya?" 

She smiled and nodded. "Love you," she whispered as I hopped into my bunk.

It was probably close to the middle of the night, and we're apparently an hour away from Sacramento, California. Then we were going to Los Angeles. We were staying in a hotel for a week after that to do some recording and visit the children's hospital. Yesterday's lunch in the park had brought our total up to $5,681.00. That wasn't even including what Jade and the rest were going to donate. 

I crawled under my blankets and turned my phone on. I saw my Twitter app and decided a quick check of my mentions wouldn't hurt. I opened it up and saw my mentions were full of Leigh and presents. I looked at what was trending and saw that 'HappyBirthdayLeigh' was trending, along with just simply, 'Leigh-Anne.' 

I poked my head out of my bunk and knocked on the wall, catching Jade's attention. She smiled when she recognized me. 

"What's up?"

I cleared my throat. "When is Leigh's birthday?"

"October 4th," she answered immediately.

"And what is tomorrow?"

She checked her phone and her eyes widened. "October 4th." She checked it again. "Scratch that. It's 12:06. Today is Leigh's birthday." 

I gasped. "Why didn't she say anything?" 

Jade shrugged and groaned, leaning her head back against the window. "She probably didn't want more attention on herself, ya know, after the baby situation." She peeked at me. "We have to do something." 

I nodded and hopped out of my bunk, already looking up things to do in Cali. Jade raised an eyebrow as I plopped down on the couch next to her. "What happened to taking a nap?" 

I giggled and shrugged. "Leigh's more important. Now help me plan her an awesome birthday party or else." 

She kissed my nose. "Or else what?" </p>

I opened my mouth to say something, but stopped myself. "Just help me." I ruffled her hair. 

"Sure thing. I already know where we're going."

I shot her a confused look. "Where?"

She rolled her eyes. "What is California known for?"

"Sunny beaches? Hot women? Celebrities?" I offered cluelessly.

She shook her head. "Nope. Disneyland."

"Ready?" I whispered over my shoulder. Jesy, Alexis, Adam, Claud, Sam and Jaron all nodded. Jade smiled from the back, adjusting the large cake in her hand.
