"No, this one's no good either," I muttered to myself. I went back to my suitcase in the bathroom. Yesterday was the concert and the girls and I have one final day left in Orlando before heading down to Miami. But first, Jade was determined to take me out on a date. So here I was, back in our hotel room, trying on dresses. Bella was my judge. She sat on the bed, looking at the minimal jewellery I owned. She'd told me to dress fancy, so I was working with what I had.

"No, this one isn't right either," I murmured to myself. Bella sighed loudly and flopped down on her back. I smiled and ruffled her hair. Finally, after three more failed outfits, she sat up, and without a word, pushed me out of the bathroom and shut the door. She emerged with an outfit and laid it in my arms. I smiled and ducked back in to try it on. I looked in the mirror. I gaped. She had picked out a tight dress with a coral-pink bodice and a black skirt. Topped with a black trench coat and black heels with a simple necklace and earrings.

I looked good.

I turned back to look at her, grimacing at the heels she had picked out. I pouted, but she was adamant.

"You have to look pretty tonight! Maybe you should do your make-up too . . ." she trailed off. I shook my head.

"No! Just give me the heels. I need to practice walking in them." She grinned and handed them over. I walked around the room a few times. After a couple of trips and stumbles, I managed to get around gracefully. They weren't so bad after all. I checked the time. 8:45. I was supposed to meet Jade in her room at 9. The girls were going to babysit Bella during our date. I sat down and gave Bella a hug.

"Promise me you'll be good tonight," I whispered. She nodded.

"Promise me you'll be good tonight," she repeated back to me. I smiled and nodded too.

"Why do you want me to be with her so bad?" I asked her. She shrugged.

"I want you to be happy. I think Jade will make you happy. That's all." I looked at her for a few seconds, then wrapped her in one of the biggest hugs I'd ever given anybody. I raised her well. I thought. I checked the time again. 8:56. I got up and used the bathroom, doing a once over again in the mirror, admiring the way the dress seemed to fit my body, showing off my figure. I liked it, and decided my first paycheck would be spent buying nicer clothes.

"Ready to go?" I hear Bella call through the door. I open it and step out, quickly dapping myself with perfume that I saw on the counter at the last minute. I didn't know what it smelt like but it had a nice flowery name. I hope it doesn't stink. I walked up to Bella and offered her my hand. We turned off the lights and strolled out of our room, knocking on the door at a prompt 9:06. We could hear a variety of noises thought the door. After a few more seconds of clanging, the door swung open and there stood Jesy. She saw me and her eyes grew wide when she saw what I was wearing. I got that pleasant feeling in my stomach again.

"Jaaaddeeee . . ." Jesy called over her shoulder, never taking her eyes off me. I giggled. She seemed to snap out of it and motioned for the two of us to come inside. Bella ran immediately into Leigh's outstretched arms. I walked in after her. It was silent. It was about to get awkward when Jade opened the bathroom door, looking very hot in a white figure-hugging dress with long sleeves.

"What's going on in he-" She stops when her eyes land on me. Her mouth drops open a little bit, but she composes herself quickly and walks over to give me a hug and a peck on the cheek. "You look beautiful, as always," she whispers in my ear. My cheeks are going to be permanently red by the end of the night, I know it.

Jade grabs her cell phone and wallet off the coffee table and offers me her arm, which I take. I turn back and wave at Bella and the girls. When we're out of their sight, I turn to look at Jade, and she's just grinning.
