It was Christmas Eve and I was feeling my pregnancy more than ever and I was being set off in just 5 day, we'd finished work for the holidays and everything was going well, nick was home and him and Anna have been running round like headless chickens trying to sort out everything for the baby coming and sorting her nursery out it's gorgeous, it has white wooden flooring they look like wooden floorboards but it's the effect of the flooring, all her walls are painted a very pale pink and her skirting boards are bright white along with her furniture and it was all just settling into place just right.

'Anna' nick shouted from the kitchen, he was preparing dinner for tomorrow he had his family up and Anna's were up, I was going to mums for dinner as a civil agreement, obviously. 'Yes babe' she shouted back we were lying on the couch 'can you throw us some treats' she said and it went silent and I just giggled to myself 'we have none' he said and our faces must have been pictures 'great' she groaned and sat up which made me sit up too 'fancy a trip' she asked and I nodded 'I mean yeah why not I only have 5 days to go till I give birth not like I'm gunna pop anytime in the shops' I shrugged being sarcastic 'where we all going' nick asked 'we are going shopping. You are preparing Christmas dinner' Anna laughed pecking his lips which I smiled at they were so in love with each other and it was the nicest thing to see 'ready' Anna asked and I nodded with a smirk 'what' she asked 'asking me if I'm ready...it's you I was waiting for' I said walking out the door and she just laughed. We pulled up at the local Asda and walked inside 'so how does it feel' Anna asked picking up a trolley 'what' I laughed 'you could be a mother at any point' she said and I shrugged and didn't say out 'you'll be the best' she said nudging me 'I'm scared, sometimes I wish I'd of been more careful, especially if I knew that Lawson would just do a disappearing act' I sighed 'well he's the jerk..he's missing out not you' she smiled 'yeah but geez if I knew my daughters dad was gunna be playing hide and seek with her I'd of never have bothered with him from the start' I said 'you are young, he's naieve and probably just as scared as you' she said 'he hasn't carried two babies for nine months, he hasn't been here hardly..he wasn't there for me when we lost Hattie' I said and she bowed her head because she knew I was right and he was wrong 'how's your little friend fan or whatever you call her' she asked 'who lj' I questioned 'yeah' she nodded 'she's good, coping so much better now it's out, I told her when she was 16 weeks to just let everyone know and she'll feel so much better about it' I shrugged 'exactly, talking is sometimes the best policy..did she find out' she asked 'yeah she's having a girl too, she's due end of february' I smiled 'not long for her, is she going to bring the baby to set when she comes' she asked 'I mean obviously she won't be able to come as much but when she does she'll bring her' I nodded 'you really friends with her aren't you' she asked 'you know what..I am..she's more a friend than a fan now, I've helped her so much' I shrugged 'you're a good kid, don't be afraid to invite her round' she smiled 'I didn't want to with her being a fan beforehand you know didn't know if you'd agree with that' I said 'of course, but she's so much more than a fan now, especially after everything, if you trust her then I trust her too' she smiled 'I knew there was a reason why I loved you so much' I smiled 'I love you also' she said chucking some babie Muslin cloths in the basket 'we have a few packs of those' I laughed 'look, you can never go wrong' she said and I guess she was right and we got to the baby aisle of shampoo and other essentials 'right the only thing we don't have is dummies' she said and I just looked at her 'well is she going to have a dummy' she asked 'yeah I guess so' I shrugged 'ok we will get these' she said picking up some black and pink ones 'Anna you know you don't need to buy everything' I said 'I know, but you're under 18, in my care and are like my daughter which means I get to help' she shrugged 'but I earn my own money' I said 'and you've bought loads too, I'm buying a few spare bits' she said giving me daggers 'yeah but you and nick bought her pram' I said 'and' she questioned sticking a box of baby wipes in the trolley and I rolled my eyes and carried on 'I win' I heard her laugh 'right are we doing an actual shop or just snack shopping' I asked 'gunna do a shop whilst I'm here' she laughed, she was typical could never just come for what she said always needs more 'well I'm just gunna go to the George department and see what baby clothes they have' I said 'you sure she doesn't have enough' she asked with a smile 'nope, can never have to many vests or sleepsuits' I giggled and she just shook her head as I walked off.
