Nikkis P.O.V.

I woke up with an arm In my face and two legs near enough on my chest but I couldn't complain because having Eliza here with me to wake up to was the best feeling ever, this whole mother daughter situation has only been out for around a month now and honestly I could not be any happier, when she first came I thought yeah she does look a small bit like me but I never thought of any of this and neither did she but we are both happy I'd do anything for her and anything to make sure she is never left without anything or any support.

'Nikki are you awake' I heard someone whisper talk at the door 'come in' I said and the door opened quietly, tammies face made me laugh when she saw the way Eliza was sleeping 'literally like mother like daughter, if use hadn't of found out and this was just a regular Eliza and nikki sleepover like before all this then I'd of seriously started to be suspicious she's just like you in every single way' tammie whisper laughed 'I know, even sleeps with her legs near the person she's sharing a bed with chest' I smiled and pulled back the covers a bit 'how long you been up' she asked 'a good hour' I smiled 'you not waking her up' she questioned 'I've just been watching her sleep, I mean do you ever not get that weird but good feeling when you just love someone so much' I asked 'yes' she smiled 'I just have had that weird feeling this morning whilst watching her sleep, like she's actually mine who would have thought..it's crazy when she first started at lime i just thought yeah I'll be close to her she's my on screen child but who would have thought this could of ever happened' I said 'it's amazing and crazy to say the least' she said 'yep but looking back now I wouldn't ever change her for the world..she's been through so much at just 15 and I am never going to let anything hurt her or come between us again' I smiled stroking her forehead 'you know nikki, I'm proud of how well you have both taken this stepping stone by the tip of your fingers so late into her life' tammie smiled which made me smile 'there is no going back now' I smiled feeling chuffed 'what time do you start' she asked 'both 11,how will she be today' I asked remember what had happened yesterday 'God only knows..when she's up just be there for her and make sure she knows she's not alone,I have to go but I'll see you in work' she smiled and left the room. 'Eliza' I said shaking her 'yes' she asked with her eyes still shut 'we need to get up, we start soon' I said 'okay' she said opening her eyes and realising how she was lying 'I'm sorry, I love to sleep' she laughed 'me too' I nodded 'it's actually scary how much we are alike and have in common' she said moving her legs but keeping her arm over me 'yep...how are you' I asked and she went blank as if she'd just remembered what had happened 'I'm not too sure' she shrugged and I nodded 'ill get up and get food and then we can just go' she said changing the subject which I was totally fine with.

I sat on the green room couch with anna as we watched ruby,James,Persephone and Eliza sit on the floor having a chat and on their phones, Eliza was lying with her head on James knees and he had his arm over her, the others where laughing and talking but she just lay there,she said she's fine but I know she isn't at all 'what's it like' anna asked and I looked at her whilst sipping my cup of tea 'what' i asked 'being a mother' she smiled and I looked down at Eliza, 'ive not brought her up I know but honestly this past month has been amazing' I smiled down at Eliza 'you know now we all know the truth she really is a lot like you' she said 'I know I spot it myself too' I giggled 'how has she taken it..janis' she asked 'erm she said she's fine but I know she's not she is so down and quiet' I shrugged 'she's bound to be I mean the woman who brought her up has passed away' she said 'yeah I know I just wish she'd let it out, She Is bottling it up, she still insisted we went out last night and she hasn't cried once nor has she spoke about it' I said 'she's upset inside you can tell the way she is acting' anna told me 'I know I wish she'd just talk to me' I sighed and Eliza was getting a full hug from James and ruby was stood up with her hand held out and then Eliza stood up wiping her eyes and ruby took her out, their friendship is literally goals and that's coming from an adult 'should I go' I asked 'no, ruby looks like she's got this' anna nodded and Eliza looked over and smiled 'I'm okay' she mouthed walking out holding Ruby's hand 'has it hit you her' anna asked 'what that Janis has passed away..I mean I never ever met the woman but it's sad that my daughters childhood mother has passed away' I nodded 'no I meant you being a mum..has it hit' she asked 'yes in a way..when we are at mine and I'm like sat chilling with her and I'm just watching her I always think to myself wow she's actually mine' I smiled 'any stressful moments' she asked 'not really..she's never been cheeky or out I'm still waiting for the day she tests my patience' I giggled 'maybe she won't, I mean she hasn't been around you for long so' anna shrugged 'oh I can feel it coming' I chuckled 'hey' I heard James shout as him and Persephone stood up and ran out of the door which instantly made me and anna follow to see what was going on and we where only greeted by ruby and Eliza up the top end of the corridoor waving something around 'catch us if you can' Eliza shouted and James and seph where chasing after them 'see she's fine' anna said 'how can a young child who's just lost her parent be so happy' I said leaning against the wall 'you just said the key word..young..even though she played a big part in Elizabeth's life Eliza is still young and it doesn't hit the same' she said 'but she's old enough to understand' I said 'doesn't Matter, young people are all different and take things in a different way, give her time because honestly in the future maybe weeks,months,years this is gunna hit her and probably will hit her hard but for now just play it good with her If she doesn't cry don't ponder her because she will start even if it wasnt to happen and that isn't good for her' she said 'I'm just confused how she's so happy, I mean I wouldn't be' I said 'shes your real mother..Janis wasn't' she said 'she never knew' I jumped in quickly 'she never your right but she will always have known something and felt a different kind of bond with Janis , fair enough she was there from day one but she never got that skin to skin contact like you did with her when she was born and she would of never had a real bond with Janis although they where close at one point she will of never felt the same children are weird they just know' she smiled 'I'm just so worried..I've seen things like this happen on tv the loose someone and they're happy then further down they sink deep into depression' I worried as 4 giggling teenagers ran past us again the girls still running from seph and James 'does she look like a little depressed girl to you..not to me she doesn't Infact she looks at her happiest here, stop worrying she is here at work and she's happy we will keep our eye on her don't you worry yourself' she smiled and I thanked her.
