Chapter 74

July 12th 2018. I was 18 years old, finally. I infact can't believe I am 18, everything is going so quick. Betsi was 7 months old already, tiny but healthy and we couldn't love her anymore if we tried, things with Theo were going stronger than ever still, I loved him a lot. I was still living with anna and nick of course I was I couldn't imagine life without them, me and Nikki speak for civil reasons but we aren't as close as we were.

I sat up in bed and stretched, Theo was gone and so was Betsi, I picked up my phone it was only 8am and I had hundreds of messages I clicked open twitter first and looked through they were mixers wishing me happy birthday and oaks fans I liked all the the ones I could see and checked different accounts the hollyoaks twitter had wished me a happy birthday and someone from little mix had wrote one but never signed it. I went through instagram and other things then checked my texts perrie had left one late last night by the looks of it I text her back saying happy birthday to her too and that I missed her. I sat with my head against the head board and sighed I'd made it to 18 finally a day I honestly never thought I'd of seen but here I was with an amazing 'mum and dad' and a daughter who I couldn't love anymore if I tried all I was missing was Jesy I always imagined my 18th being different I imagined me having a big party but on the morning of my birthday I imagined me getting up and walking down to Jess and a lot of presents, my family all stood around happy and proud but I couldn't hold the dwell I had the most perfect life right now. I pulled the cover back and hopped out and opened my curtains it was sunny and looked hot just how I liked it, I walked out my room and downstairs I could hear the faint voices of my family talking, I walked through and into the sitting area where I was greeted by a big silver 1 and 8 with presents around the bottom of them but no one was in here they were in the kitchen I walked through and smiled 'happy 18th' nick said hugging me tight 'thanks' I smiled and anna stood up and looked at me with a small smile 'my baby is 18...wow happy birthday darling' she said kissing my forehead as she hugged me 'thanks anna' I said squeezing her back and then Theo looked at me 'happy birthday babe' he said pecking my lips and I smiled into the kiss 'I love you' I told him 'I love you more' he said as he passed me Betsi 'mummy has missed you' I said squeezing my baby girl 'you've been asleep' nick asked with a small confused look 'I still miss her, even when I'm sleeping' I giggled and everyone just shook their heads 'presents are through here' anna said and I followed everyone 'sit' nick said as I sat infront of my presents 'this one first' he said handing me a small box and I opened it 'I love it' I smiled it was a white gold sparkly bangle with a little oval hanging down with the word daughter engraved into it on one side and forever engaged on the other 'remember...forever' he said and I smiled and opened the next ones i got some cute little ted baker pjs, some morphe, naked, tarte and Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes and some Disney pandora charms 'thankyou so much' I said hugging them both 'no bother' nick told me and Theo smiled and handed me a bag 'off Betsi' he said and inside was some Lindt chocolate, my favourite some black opium perfume a mother pandora charm and tickets to see little mix in the summer 'aw thanks baby B' I said kissing her over and over 'thank you' I mouthed to Theo 'and mine' he said handing me a box and I giggled he'd gotten me some new Nike air shoes personalised 'thankyou' I said 'that's not all' he told me and nick carried through another box but bigger 'more' I said to Theo inside was a Louis viutonn bag and some ray bans 'for our holiday' he smiled and I gave him a kiss and then anna stud up and walked towards the window and nodded at nick 'here one last thing off all 3 of us' he said pulling out a rectangle shaped present I unwrapped it to see a number plate and I was confused I could drive I just didn't have a car 'Be17tsi' was what it was 'for when you get a car' anna smiled and I hugged every one of them tight 'I love everything,I've been so spoilt thankyou' I said and a knock came on the door 'go get it,it's probably for you because it's your birthday' nick said as I walked off and opened the door to Nikki and the girls 'happy birthday' felicitie said wrapping her arms around my lower waist 'thanks baby' I said as I invited them all in 'happy birthday sweetheart...18 already' Nikki said kissing my cheek and hugging me tight 'I know..scary you not talking harmony' I said 'shes not very well' Nikki told me and I just did a sad face 'no greg' I asked 'oh he's coming he will be here any minute he followed in a different car' she smiled and I nodded 'here's your gifts from the kids' she said handing me my card 'thanks girls' I said 'can I open' floss asked and I rolled my eyes typical 4 year old 'yes' I laughed and handed her the gift bag 'this one first' she said pulling a big one out 'wanna help harmy' I asked my littlest sibling who just shook her head no and snuggled into Nikki further 'oh yeah I remember mummy buying this one' floss laughed as she unwrapped the gift 'I love this' she told me and everyone was giggling 'it's mine' I said and she handed me the large makeup bag mermaid inspired 'I love it thankyou' I said 'there is things inside' floss said with sass and I giggled 'oh by the I didn't choose any of the contents it was all little miss sass down there' Nikki laughed and I giggled as I looked inside there was a few revolution eye palettes and some highlighter 'thanks Floss' I laughed 'now this one' she said pulling a box out 'everything in that bag felicitie choose she dragged me to the shops she liked the look of and everything she liked...you got' Nikki laughed and I nodded 'well that's lovely,everything hand picked out by my little sister 'it's some white converse wow' she said with a massive smile as if she didn't know what it was and I laughed she was funny I didn't realise what I was missing out on till today seeing her like this 'you can wear these with skinny jeans right' she said throwing them to the side and pulling out a bag 'pandoraaaaaa' she sung and Nikki smirked and nick spat his drink out a bit 'I choose this I know you love mermaids so I got you the Ariel sat on her shell' she told me before she'd even opened the bag 'well thanks' I laughed 'can I have a bath with you when you have these' she asked pulling out a bright pink box which I knew was from lush 'of course, you do know floss you aren't supposed to open them before you tell me' I giggled and she shrugged 'last two' she said opening some perfume 'wow thanks' I said taking the box off her 'I love Ariana that's why I got that' she said and I laughed I already had this upstairs but it was nice so I'll let her off 'how nice is this one' she said opening a photo cube it had a picture of me, Betsi and Theo on one face, on another floss and harmony together, the other it had Jess and myself then on the last 3 faces it had a picture of Anna, myself and nick from Betsis christening then me and Nikki on another and then I turned it round to see on the last face it had a picture of me with my nelson family before josh passed away and everyone paused for a minute, I thought to myself how happy we all looked then, I covered Jesy, josh and Janet's faces with my finger and then it hit me all that was left from us was me and Johnny the rest were gone forever 'I love it, I think this is my favourite gift' I said quietly it was so nice to see that photo again I haven't seen it for years, I could feel the tears, everyone was silent, I stood up and went to take a breather at the window where I saw Greg getting out of a white car 'Greg is here' I said breaking the silence and everyone stood up so quickly and went to the door 'you coming' Nikki asked and I nodded confused 'hi greg' I smiled as he approached the steps 'happy birthday doll' he said hugging me 'thanks so much' I smiled 'did you like your presents' he asked 'off the girls, yeah I loved them I've literally just finished opening them' I laughed 'ah good you can open mine and your mums now' he said as everyone piled back in 'I'm just gunna grab it from your mums car wait' he said and we all went in 'thanks everyone for all of this' I said smiling 'you are very welcome it's the least you deserve' anna smiled as Greg opened the door with a small gift box and a card 'here' he said as he handed me it, I opened the box to reveal a car key 'what' I said with a smalol giggle 'happy 18th birthday darling' Nikki said hugging me and I hugged her back and walked out the front door to see the car Greg drove up with a birthday banner over the window 'as if' i said to myself as I looked around it 'we tried our best to get you a nice model but big enough for what you need' Greg told me as he looked around it with me 'it's perfect, but how did you know I needed a car' I asked 'I didn't, your mum talked about that you've passed your test but don't use it so I suggested a car to make you use your licence and she agreed...why didn't you ever mention about passing your test' he shrugged 'I never really told anyone about the lessons it's something i wanted to do alone in case I failed and when I passed it wasn't really a big deal anyways so I just kept it low' I told him as I hugged him as everyone else approached us and Nikki came forward 'thankyou' I said as I gave her a hug 'you're welcome, 18 huh' she said and I nodded 'wow' she said and tears brimmed 'don't cry about it' I joked 'but 18...you're literally an adult now, it seems like yesterday I gave birth, then at 14/15 when you came back into my life it didn't seem real I never wanted you to grown up I wanted you to stay this little teenager forever so I could just hug you and never let you go but I blinked and it was gone' she said as she laid one hand on my cheek 'well that's what happens in life, we grow' I laughed 'our relationship didn't go as I wanted but I love you so much you know that, I never stopped loving you when I gave you up' she said and everyone was silent just looking at us, Greg had took a step back to be with the others 'no I know' I said dropping my face from laughing to serious 'I thought about what you'd look like everyday and it's exactly how I imagined, beautiful' she said and I small smiled I didn't really know where she was going with this 'you know what, none of this today it can wait, just know I always loved you and still do nothing will ever take the love I have away, happy birthday darling' she said and kissed my forehead and I zoned out I was so confused I had  no idea what she was on about 'go on then have a look inside' Greg urged and I just laughed and opened the car it was big enough for me and the interior was amazing 'thankyou, I love it' I told them as I locked it behind me 'knew you would' Nikki nodded and we went back in side 'I have work in 30 minutes' I said 'me too' Theo laughed 'I don't' anna said with a smirk 'I have it in 2 hours for one scene' Nikki told me 'last day for us though then it's party time tonight then we jet off in 2 days' I smiled 'lucky' Greg laughed and I shrugged with a smile.
