Chapter 1: Nightmares
Viel's P.O.V
"BETTINA!!!"
"What's wrong Viel?"
Napa-angat ako ng tingin sa nag-aalalang mukha ni Hanna.
She placed her hands in my head, slowly caressing my hair. She looks worried yet tried not to look like one. Did I fall asleep while looking at her?
"N-Nothing..." sabi ko na lang.
Inilagay ko ang mga kamay ko sa kanya at saka sya mahigpit na niyakap.
The dreams. Bettina. Past is haunting me again.
"Okay ka lang ba?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Hanna saka nito pinagpatuloy yung paghaplos nya sa buhok ko. "You look scared. And you're sweating hard. Are you having nightmares?"
Bahagya kong inilayo ang ulo ko sa kanya saka sya tinitigang mabuti.
It's been a week now magmula ng lumipad kami nila Xander papaunta dito sa U.S. para ipagamot si Hanna. At magmula ng dalhin ko sya dito, nagsimula na ring bumalik sa alaala ko ang mga nangyari sa nakaraan.
Bettina's memories are coming back again.
"Don't leave me yet Hanna." I said, mixed scared and worried. Then I placed my head on her lap. "Please be strong for me. I need you. I can't take to live another day without you."
I tighten my grip to her. Feeling that if I loosen a little, someone or something will steal her away from me.
I don't want Hanna to leave my side again. I want her beside me in every day of my life. I want to be with her. I don't want to loose her.
I saw Hanna smile at me then she wiped the sweats in my face using here bare hands.
"Of course I won't." she said, smiling.
And I know she doesn't mean that.
Hanna is getting weaker day by day magmula ng iconfine sya dito. I know all of that because I am always there when she's suffering from her disease. And it pains to see Hanna suffer. It breaks my heart every time she's in pain. If only I could take it all away from her.
Nilagay ko ulit ang ulo ko sa lap ni Hanna while she continues on caressing my hair. I suddenly feel calm dahil na din sa ginagawa nya. Bigla kong nakalimutan ang masamang panaginip na iyon.
What's the meaning of that? Is she...is she coming back?
Hanna's P.O.V
Viel looks very scared and at the same time horrified sa kung ano mang napanaginipan nya.
I was staring outside my window nang bigla na lang nya isigaw nag pangalang iyon.
"BETTINA!!!"
Who is Bettina? At bakit ganoon na lang ang takot at pagpapawis ni Viel?
