Chapter 5: Viel's Wish

Viel's P.O.V

          I wish I can turned back the time.

          I wish I didn't brought her out.

          I wish I never, never take her sickness for granted.

          I was foolish. Still I am.

          I risk the life of the girl I love.

          And now, I don't know if I can take the possibility...

          Of Hanna leaving me.

          "Make way! Make way!" malakas na sigaw ko habang buhat-buhat ko sya at tumatakbo papasok sa ospital na iyon. "MAKE A DAMN WAY!"

          Hanna looks pale. Pale as ever. I can fell her shallow breathing. Her body feels lifeless now in my arms.

          Our time is running out. And it feels like everyone that surrounds us, everything around us, slow us down. Making my effort to save her life useless and painful with every step I make.

          I feel like I'm running hundred miles to emergency room. My heart is beating fast while hers...I'm too scared to tell how her heart beats...slow.

          "Hang on Hanna!" sabi ko habang nakatitig sa kanya. "Please hang on!"

          I tighten my grip to her as if she's my only lifeline.

          'Hanna...'

          Matapos naming kumain, papalabas na kami noon sa may restaurant nang bigla na lang umatake ang sakit ng ulo nya that make her faint right before my eyes.

          "Saan mo gustong sunod pumunta? Marami daw magagandang pasyalan dito sa New York. Saan yung gusto mong unahin? We still have a lot of time—"

          "V-Viel..."

          "Hmm?" I smile.

          I turned my head just to see her slowly falling down the ground.

          "Hanna!"

          I was foolish thinking we have a lot of time. I almost forgot about Hanna. I was too happy to forgot about her sickness. That she is not allowed to stay too long outside especially in this winter season. Cold is not good for her, doctors warned me. But I didn't listen thinking Hanna will be alright because I was there beside her.

          I was there and yet, I failed to protect her. I put Hanna to danger.

          "What happened?" tanong sa akin ng mga doktor.

          "I-I don't know!" natatarantang sabi ko while putting Hanna in the middle of E.R bed. "Save her! Please save her!" I almost yell and beg.

          Napatango na lang sa akin yung mga doctor saka inihanda yung mga dapat nilang ihanda para gamutin si Hanna.

          "You go outside." sabi sa akin nung doctor nya. "Leave everything to us."
