Alastair was probably in deep, deep trouble. I knew that much when that cop explained what had happened.
Before the case, we had gotten back from another case. Dean and I were covered in blood. Sam told us both to take showers. Dean was gross. I was simply covered in blood and monster pieces. My ripping and tearing method had come in handy. As did Dean's barbwire baseball bat. We got a new case. Sam tried to explain how exactly he got it.
"Are we going now?" I asked.
"No. Both of you. Shower. Now. You smell like death." Sam instructed. I followed after Dean, who started telling me where Sam kept the good shampoo.
Cas was off searching for an angel killer. Mary had worked a successful case. As we walked through the woods, all suited up, clean and professional, I couldn't help but worry about my scattered friends and acquaintances. But the cop was talking about... invisible dogs. A hell hound. Sam and Dean glanced at me. So, we rode to the where the girl was staying. Something was following us when the girl let us in. Sam and Dean told the girl that it was a bear. She didn't believe them. I couldn't turn my eyes in front of this girl, Gwen. She was telling us to leave. I didn't want to. But I left with Sam and Dean anyway.
"Something's wrong." I said, looking back. But we had to get in the car anyway. "We shouldn't go." I said to the two. That's when I heard a scream.
We rushed back in and Dean shot the dog. I turned my eyes and ran to the window where the dog jumped out. I didn't catch a good look. I hadn't seen Alastair in such a long time. Had he gone insane? Sam and Dean were explaining it to them as I put my eyes back to green and I turned back for the introductions. I was glad the boys neglected to mention that I had my own hell hound. Gwen and Marcus hadn't sold their souls.
"So what the hell..." Dean muttered.
I called Crowley. He was angry. I tried to calm him.
"Crowley what do you do when a hell hound's gone rouge?" I asked. Apparently a hound had gotten loose. A hound named Ramsey. Lucifer's hound. Gwen had attacked her, the hound. So the hound was out for revenge. Crowley was going to help us. And... well... I needed to find Alastair.
We went back to the forest and Dean explained hell hounds. Sam and Gwen stayed together. I giggled when Dean lectured Sam on taking care of the care. I followed after Crowley and Dean to find Ramsey. I turned on my vision and whistled.
"Alastair! Here boy!" I called. Crowley raised an eye brow at me.
"Alastair?" He asked. I looked at him.
"I... It's what I named my hound." I said.
"You have a hound?" Crowley chuckled as Alastair came bounding over. Crowley showed surprise. I looked at my dog.
"He's pretty big." I patted his head and he licked my face. "Young man. You were almost in big trouble." I muttered as we walked. Alastair barked.
Dean had his glasses. I had my eyes, Crowley had his demon sight. Dean and Crowley walked a bit ahead of me, talking as I watched their backs with Alastair.
"Alastair!" I called, interrupting Crowley's song as he growled and bounded off. Crowley and Dean had found the den. It was empty. "Al! Come back! Damn it..." I took off after him while Crowley and Dean looked in the nest.
"Nell!" Dean yelled after me. But we were running. Sprinting as fast as our legs would carry us. And Alastair's leg's carried him a lot farther and faster than mine did.
By the time we got to Sam and Gwen, it was over. Dean was mad about the car. Crowley was mad about the thanks. It was time to go home.
Castiel was on the phone when we go back. She was with Dagon. Dagon. I remember that name. Dean thought Cas sounded weird. Sam was acting weird. He admitted to working with the men of letters with all these cases.
"We hate them. Us. Together." Dean snapped. Sam defended himself. Dean was angry. Sam apologized. I stayed out of it, as I had grown accustom to doing. Dean looked at me. I shrugged at him. He sighed and forgave Sam.
"We trust you Sam." I smiled. Dean laid down the law.
Then Mick called. We answered. Together.
