"Uh-hey" Simon stuttered, gripping his cup as Y/N smiled at him. They were the sweetest and most adorable couple, Simon loved her to bits and she did, too. Sad to say, the two broke up 3 months ago. It pained each other, but they knew they needed time. "Oh. Hey, Si" She greeted, a fake smile plastered on her delicate lips, Simon had an urge to bend down and kiss her. "Hey.. How you've been?" Simon asked, eyes tracing down her body. "I'm good, you?" "I'm fine" The hours went on and the two ex lovers seemed to forget that they were in a party. They talked and laughed together like old times. Eventually, Y/N had to go. "Y/N... C-can we still be friends?" Simon said, cringing at word 'Friends' "Of course, Si"
// 3 months later //
"Simon? Are you even listening?" Lux asked, waving a hand in Simon's face. "What? Oh yes, that's good" Simon said, turning his attention to Callux. "Bro, lost in thoughts aren't we?" Callux smirked, looking over to where Simon was staring. "Ohhh.. It's Y/N" Lux smirked. Simon blushed and shook his head. Looking back at Callux, but he was gone.
"Y/N! Simon is over there!"
Shit. Simon thought, Fixing his jumper and hair. "Hey Si" Y/N greeted, her smiles just not the same anymore. "Hey" Simon said, forcing a smile. "How are you?" She asked, tucking strands of hair behind her ear. Beautiful as ever, Simon thought.
"I'm fine, you?" "Good! So.. uh.. What are you doing right now?" She asked. Simon bit his lower lips, He was so tempted to hug her. "Tinder" He blurts out. Fuck my life, He scolded. "Really? I have tinder too" She said, with a laugh after. God, her laugh. "Tinder is fun, aye?" She added, wiggling her eyebrows. "It is" He smiled.
The night went on, Simon and Y/N getting comfortable as ever. "Si?" "Hm?" "Even though, we had a shitty relationship, we ARE friends, right?"
"N- Of course.. We are" Simon said, He regretted it. He never wanted them to be friends nor be exes. All he wanted was her to come back.
