It didn't bother me as much as it should have. I knew from the beginning that X had a girlfriend but the times I spent with him he never seemed to bring her up. It's easy for it to slip my mind especially while he's looking at me.

Or when he kissed me.

Now the image of her kissing him burned out the memory of our kiss, replacing it with theirs.

I shook my head, I had to focus. "Something on your mind?" Scar asks.

I look up to where he's at. Miraculously he isn't wearing the breathing mask and he's smiling at me. "No." I lie.

He cranes his head to the side. "Sure." He says with sarcasm in his voice.

"Flor, you're too easy to read." Scar continues. "And you're a bad liar."

I scowl at him. "Well, at least I have flaws."

He scowls back at me. "I have flaws too." He points out. "I can't seem to keep a girl."

I let out a laugh, he had jokes...so I thought. He gives me a serious look and I get the feeling he isn't joking or that he doesn't find any of what I said funny. "Sorry," I mutter looking away from him, feeling dumb.

"And you're too easy to manipulate." He adds.

I turn back to look at him seeing that he has that smile on his face. He was teasing me. I roll my eyes at him and march over to the snack section. I was picking the grapes popping one by one into my mouth while my eyes scanned the rest of the table.

"What are you doing here?"

My skin turns cold, the grape in my hand suddenly falls back down and rejoins the group. I turn my head following the sound of the voice and come face to face with Rocky. "I knew you were prettier than you let on." He says with a laugh.

I don't say anything and instead, continue to stand in silence, Rocky, on the other hand, reaches for a grape and pops it into his mouth. "Then again I already knew about it." I gape at him wide eyed.

"What, how?" I demand.

He smiles. "I'm close to the photographer's assistant." He winks. I shake my head in disbelief of course.

"Anyways, have you heard the news?" Rocky says as he checked his phone.

"What news?" I asked curiously.

Rocky sighs, putting his phone back into his pocket. "I'm only gonna tell you, you can't say anything to anyone." He warns. I nod my head. "I'm only telling you this because ever since X's been around you, he's...different."

My heart flutters, "What is it?" I say desperate.

"Well my boy's single now, the girl he fucked with cheated on him." He paused watching my reaction.

I swallow. "Vena...she..."The words sound robotic, it truly hits me then what happened. And I suddenly start to get this feeling in the pits of my stomach that something about this is just going to make things worse.

"She's crazy." Rocky goes on, "Says she'll expose him make all his fans hate him."

My heart beat sped up, "What?"

"She's messing with one of the few things he loves still." I reach for my necklace the tears burning my eyes.

"No," I whisper. "He was finally..." I trailed off, happy.

I replay his words in my head and without thinking twice about it I turn ready to make a run for it when Rocky catches my wrist. "Don't do it, Flor," Rocky warns.

I shake my head not listening. "He won't listen to you. He's just gonna say something stupid and fuck this up too."

"You're wrong," I whisper. "He won't hurt me." I felt it in my heart. Somewhere deep inside I knew that I was starting to make my mark in his life and what he needed right now was someone who truly cared about his feelings and wouldn't betray them.

Rocky shakes his head, loosening his grip. "Your too innocent for this..." I don't notice it then but his words were full of sadness and when he finally dropped my hand I didn't look back.

Instead I ran to the one place my heart longed to be.
