- there's always more than what meets the eye-
"Don't you want to say goodbye?" Scar asks.
I was stuffing clothes into my suitcase when I come to a sudden halt. Turning slightly I give him an odd look. He had been acting strange these past two days since I asked him about leaving. "I'm not really sure I want to."
He looks at the floor for a brief moment lost in thought. "Are you fine if it ends this way?"
I look away, hiding my face knowing how easy I was to read. I was practically an open book when it came to Scar. "I'll be fine." I mumble.
I was lying, you could hear it in my voice but at that moment I didn't care how fragile I sounded or felt. But the person behind me was in a dilemma, fighting between what was right and wrong.
What was going through his mind then I was completely unaware of.
Scar's POV
Scar had been walking back from the store when he noticed a familiar figure arguing in front of the place they were staying at.
It seemed like wherever he went he always caused trouble at least the rumors proved that much to be true. X was fighting with that girl he's seen her around with a few times in the past and from what he's heard from Flor he believe's her name is Jessica.
He looked at her and noticed she looked like she wanted to cry, leaning closer against the wall so he could listen better Scar kept his eyes trailed on them. "You ain't shit to me, ain't no one. I've told you so many times I don't fuck with you." X shouted at her.
She brushed the tears from her eyes. "I told you if you wanted to get your music out there that she needed to be out the fucking picture! What did you expect me to do?" She shouts back.
"You made it seem like we were a thing, I wouldn't date you even for a record deal." She stared at X for a few seconds, his words seemed to hit a nerve. It left her speechless.
"She ain't good enough for you." Jessica narrows her eyes at X. "That bitch was just using you for your fame."
X laughs. "You a dam fool."
"Stay away from her X or I'll make sure that everyone knows about what happened to her and then we'll see who would want to hire a bitch like that."
X catches her hand forcing her turn around, his eyes pierce hers. "Fuck you." He snarls before throwing his hand off hers and striding off.
Scar watched them for a bit longer before turning around to leave but that's when he realized he wasn't alone.
His eyes meet Rocky, pulling a cigarette out the box he offers Scar one but of course he refuses. "You heard it too didn't you?" Rocky asked.
Scar stuffs his hands in his pockets and nods. "You still want to take his girl?"
He stays silent. "Everything X is doing and has done was for her. Leaving was to protect her, breaking up was to protect her and this act he puts on...pretending to hate her it's for her sake too." Rocky paused. "They were gonna expose it to the media...it would've ruined her but Jessica proposed he left her and they wouldn't say shit."
Rocky laughs. "Some fucked up shit." He mutters.
Scar looked away momentarily loosing himself in his thoughts, the only thing that invaded his mind were memories of her, of her smile...how much he longed to see her for who she used to be rather than what she had become now. He knew something deeper than just your average break up happened to those two. Some unspoken tragedy had unraveled and taken hold of whatever life force they had left.
Scar could see it in her eyes whenever she looked out the window or was simply lost in thought, the pain that took over her face as she clenched her abdomen. Those times he'd heard her sobbing in her sleep or when she grew afraid of flowers. Ironic for her fear of flowers since he saw her as one, a pure beautiful flower whose heart was scattered into millions of pieces.
Pieces he wanted to put back in place, a smile he wanted to see for himself alone, a love Scar wanted for himself. "I won't give her back." Scar says.
Rocky looks at him through the cloud of smoke. "She's mine now, I won't give her back to him even if it's fucked up." He continues. "I won't give her back." He warns this time as he looks Rocky dead in the eyes before turning back and leaving the way X went.
Scar was still fuming over what happened but he noticed a figure standing in front of the door way, her door. He saw X press his forehead against her door as he stared at a bracelet in his hand. Standing there for a few moments longer X took a few steps away before heading back into his room.
That's when Scar came out of the shadows and watched the now empty hallway.
"Are you okay?" Flor asks.
Scar looked up from the chair and in confusion a smile settled between his lips. "Just fine love." He says.
Standing from the chair he heads over to the door. "We leave tomorrow morning." He reminds her.
Flor nods, "See you."
And as he exits her room, a gasp escapes his lips. "X?"
"Help me." He asks him. "Please."
