RIGHT MY WRONGS...

Sunshine's phone rang as she continued working on one of her paintings for an old couple. She did not even attempt to check who it was who was calling her because they had been calling for the past three days,non-stop. She ignored the vibrating phone in her coat pocket and attended to the painting.

'Don't you think you should get that?'

'Oh no Mrs. Langston,it's no one important.'

She replied to the old lady as she chewed on the tip of the paint brush. The old lady had come to see how far she was with the painting.

' You know if a woman says that,it's either she's mad at the person calling or she's not interested in him but he's being a bugaboo.'

She laughed at the word bugaboo,she hadn't heard the word in years,well not since Destiny's child consisted of four women. She put away her brushes after cleaning up her work area in clean water. Her phone rang again and she was ready to throw it in the trash.

'Just answer the poor guy,it's been a week after all. Don't you think you should atleast hear him out?'

Her colleague and work friend said as she placed a new shoe in the display area.

' Roxy I don't need to talk to him,there's nothing new he is going to tell me anyway.'

'What if he wants to apologise to you?'

'I don't need his apologies,it's been two years. If he want to apologise he should have done it back then.'

Roxy sighed defeated. Knowing that the caller was a sore subject in her friend's life. They ate their lunch as they chatted about their next showcase. They want back to their respective units and continued working till it was knock off time. They walked out together and Sunny sighed upon seeing the one person she wanted nothing to do with. They said their goodbyes as Sunshine tried to hurry to the bus stop and ignore him. She cursed not having her car today.

'Hi Sunny....I have been dying to get hold of you for the past month.'

He said as she walks past him like he wasn't even there. She ignored him and waited to cross the street to the bus stop when he grabbed her wrist. She looked him up and down about to say something but he spoke first.

'Can I please have a few minutes of your time. please.'

She pulled back her hand from his now loose grasp and folded her arms under her breasts waiting on him to say what he wanted to say.

'Can we please sit in the car?'

He said pointing to his 2017 Volkswagen GTI. She rolled her eyes and walked infront of him. She felt his eyes on her bottom and turned to find him smiling,which he quickly tried to hide once he noticed her mugging him.

'My bad! I couldn't help it.'

He opened the passenger door for her and quickly jogged to the drivers side. Not before doing a victory dance behind the car which did not go unoticed by Sonny.

'Why have you been calling me?'

Sunshine asked as they sat down with their food. He had driven them to a burger joint to talk because she wouldn't let him drive her home.

'I want you back.'

Sunshine almost choked on her soda when he said that. She looked it him wide eyed wondering what tricks he was up to now but whatever they were she was never ever getting back with Ivan.
