MALIQ & JADE..

'Jade,baby we have to go.'

Jade stood up from the toilet seat and wiped off her tears as she threw the stick into the bin. Maliq opened the bathroom door to find her standing infront of the mirror fixing her make-up.

'Babe what -- Jade..,I thought we discussed this. Please stop doing this to yourself.'

He said pulling her into his chest. Jade pushed him away and headed out of the bathroom. She finished dressing and stomped out the house into the car.

'Jade are you mad?'

Jade just shook her head no. Maliq took her hand in an attempt to kiss it but she pulled away her hand.

'And I thought you weren't mad'

Maliq sighed as she kept her attention on the road. They were on their way to his parents home. His mother had invited them over for a family get together.

' Hey everybody my little king is here'

Jade scoffed when his mother said that. She left them alone to greet the other members of the family who actually acknowledged her existence.

' Hey Jasmine.'

Jade greeted Maliq's sister with a hug.

' Hey wifey'

She replied kissing her on the cheek.

'Where's mama's boy?...... let me guess kissing mommy dearest's ass.'

She added when Jade looked at her like take a wild guess. Jasmine handed her a plate to dish up for herself and looked on as Jade piled up her plate. Jade noticed her look and shrugged her shoulders.

'What! I am starved,haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon.'

'I didn't say anything.'

Jade took another plate and dished up for her husband. Other family members greeted her as they came over to dish up. There was a variety of foods and she tried to get everything she knew Maliq loved. When she was done she headed inside the house to find him.

' Hey Jaylen have you seen your uncle?'

'Hey aunt Jade,yes he's in grandpa's office'

Jaylen said running off to play with his other cousin's. Jaylen was Jazmine's son. Jade watched him play hide and seek with his cousin's before she headed towards the office.

'Maliq babe I understand,you are loyal to her,you guys have been together since first grade and that's sweet and all but let's be realistic here she is not woman enough. She can't give you an heir and she can't give me grankids.'

Jade listened on as Maliq's mother spoke about her. She always knew that she did not like her but never really paid her no mind.

'I told you when you married her that you guys would not last because she was and is still not good enough for you and now that you know that she is barren you can get back with Tacia.'

'Mother please,I don't want to talk about this. I confided in you because I was stressed and I don't think Tacia would agree to that.'

Jade wiped off the tears that fell from her eyes,she could not believe the things her mother in law was saying about her but what she could not believe the most was that her husband was telling her about her health problems. She walked in with her husbands plate in hand. Her mother in law had a triumphant smirk on her face and Maliq looked like a deer caught in headlights.

'Jade,babe wait!'

Maliq ran after his wife as his mother tried to stop him. His family watched on intrigued by the drama unfolding. He managed to grab onto her arm,Jade slapped him across the face as she jerked her hands from her husband. In all the years they had been together and all they had been through,he'd never made her feel so much hurt.
