Kelly paced up and down her kitchen waiting on her husband to return home. Trying to think of how to tell Amadeo about her meeting with Terrence. He was running late and this made her more nervous than usual. She decided to start on the dishes only to break a cup when she dropped it, frightened by her front door slamming shut. She was so deep in thought she never heard him drive up or open the door. Kelly quickly walked into the hallway to see why he had slammed the door.

' Deo wha-'

' Upstairs!!'

Amadeo cut her off . He spoke with his teeth clenched and she knew he was angry. Amadeo greeted his children before rushing upstairs. Kelly began to apologise as soon as he opened the bedroom door.

' Deo I am sorry. I just only met with him becau -'

' What? Who did you meet with Kelly?'

' Uh, uhm...'

Kelly stuttered when she realized that he was unaware of her meeting yesterday and she had unintentionally told on herself.

' Kelly I asked you a question?!'

' No one important. Why did you come home angry.'

' I got a call from my sperm donor but don't you change the subject. Did you meet with Terrence?'

Kelly who was standing in front of Amadeo moved to sit infront of her vanity mirror. Amadeo was visibly getting angry all over again.

' Deo please understand why I did it -'

' Understand why you did it?! Are you fucking kidding me right now Kelly?! I forbade you from talking to that guy!'

Kelly made a dramatic draw back of her neck at the word forbade.

' Forbade! You forbade me?!! Nigga what do you think thisis?,it's twenty nineteen and you cannot forbid me.'

' I don't give a fuck what year it is. As your husband I told you not to talk to that deadbeat and you went behind my back. Have you forgotten what that idiot did and how down and out he left you. You struggled to raise your daughter and he never even once called to check on how you're doing. Not even to check on his daughter. Today he thinks he can come back and everything will be fine. No Kelly!! I do forbid you to entertain that idiot.'

Amadeo's sat down on the edge of the bed and placed his head in his palms. It took a minute for Kelly to notice that he was sobbing and when she tried to touch him, he pushed her hand away.

' Deo I'm so-'

' No Kelly !!! You don't understand how much these deadbeat father's damage us. I will not allow my daughter to go through what I went through. If you want to entertain him. Go ahead but leave Star out of this. If she decides she wants to meet him when she's older,fine. I'll deal with it then but not right now. He will not see my daughter and he can take me to court if he wants to. '

Kelly moved out of his way when he grabbed his towel and walked into the adjacent bathroom without another word. Confused as to what to do sge headed into the living room and sat down with her children.

' Star?, do you remember daddy and I told you that you had another dad?'

' Yes. Terrence.'

' Well he would like to meet you?'

' Why? Grandma said he didn't want me.'

Kelly sighed. Her mother was always inappropriate. She never wanted her daughter to know this about her father.

' He's changed his mind I guess.'

' Does daddy know about this?'

' Daddy knows but it's your decision to make.'

Star sat quietly for a minute. For her to be Terrence's biological daughter, she sure behaved like Amadeo a lot.

' I'll think about it.'
