GABRIELLA & BYRON...

Gabriella felt someone starring at her as she applied her red matte lipstick that went well with her red dress.

'Where did you get that dress?'

'You bought it on one of your trips..'

Gabriella stood still for a while as she starred at her image in the mirror, thinking to herself..

'Gab don't do that please,I have never bought anything for you while I was with her. Please do not ever think that.'

'I wish I could believe that.'

Gabriella put away her lipstick and took her belongings before heading outside. Hearing him say the words with her just made her more angrier. There was a lot that she wanted to say but she wasn't going to say anything because she was just tired of fighting and tired of hurting. She thought he had left his stupid behavior in college.

'I was thinking we could go somewhere for the weekend,just you me and the kids.'

'I already have plans for this weekend with the girls and I am leaving after the meeting with the potential investors. I told you about it two weeks ago.'

'I forgot,about the meeting and your trip. We can do it when you return.'

Gabriella just nodded and continued looking outside the passenger window as the traffic passed by. She never noticed there were so many trees on their way to work but then she never really paid attention to the road before. She was always up under her husband everytime and right now they were both feeling the emptiness. She was hurting and the one person who could comfort her was the source of all her pain.

'Boss lady King these came for you and we have thirty minutes before the meeting starts .'

Her cousin and assistant Gabriel walked into her office swaying his hips with a dozen roses and a neatly wrapped gift in hand. Gabriella worked for her husband in his company. She was first his assitant and managed to work up the ladder through hard work and education. They met at one of his business lecture seminars before she started working for him.

'From the husband?'

'I think so,there's just a long as paragraph about love,forgiveness and other stuff and the it ends with happy twelfth annivesary.'

Her cousin laughed when he noticed her eyes pop open when he mentioned that it was their anniversary.

'Your ass forgot it was your wedding anniversary,didn't it.'

He laughed out loud and did not notice Gabriella smirk.

'Yeah,there's a lot going on at the moment but I bought his gift weeks ago.'

Gabriel looked at her with concern,he was about to question her further when there was a knock on her office door.

'Hey baby,Gabriel.. the meeting is about to start in 20 minutes and I wanted us to go over your presentation before we head in. Just to make sure it's on point.'

Byron said walking into her office. Gabriella rolled ger eyes without being seen and Gabriel walked out after greeting him. As much as they were family Gabriel was respectful to Byron as his boss and was professional when at work.

'Mr. Lee this is my leading lady ,my right hand woman and the one who would be doing the presentation. My wife Gabriella King.'

Byron introduced his wife to the potential investors before the meeting started.The meeting went well and Gabriella left soon after for her flight. She was relieved to be getting away from her husband. She had too much to think about and this weekend away would help her decided what she was going to do.
